Love your content do it yourself to the max 😊
I have a 2017 trd offroad, seriously wish u were here and willing to help me build it up man. Your so knowledgeable and I love tour content!! Keep it up my man. Good luck
You got any buddies who are into building 4x4’s too? You can do it with a lil help and a just figure it out as you go attitude. Seen so many Toyota’s built in driveways with basic tools and a welder. Also any question you could have could be answered in one of the Toyota truck forums, you tube comment sections, or do it wrong first time and learn from it. Good luck.
@mikehoving6361 Could not have said it better myself. Everything I know is from doing it myself, if its wrong I learn from it and try again. This is true even with this 3 link in the video. I won't know how good it is until after it's done. Forums are a great tool to get general guidelines for builds, but everyone and every rig is different based off the type of wheeling you want to do. Just gotta start wrenching and learn.
Awesome budget build! Sweet that ur able to do such fun stuff in a normal garage, the power of the ArcDroid...
Yeah. Everyone should have one in their garage! But I realize it's not super budget friendly to go buy a ArcDroid. But hey maybe I'll sell all my files for guys to get cut out if this works out.
Looking good man! Really enjoying the custom fab work
Thanks! I'm certainly enjoying doing the custom fab stuff! And can't wait to do more and revisit other projects with new tooling and skills.
That cat looks just like mine! Black cats rock.
You know what they say about cat people!
Coming along! Have you decided on coilovers? I went with Fox 2.0 remote resi 14”. Springs are 100/250. I have about 4” up and 10” down without binding. Lower link is 44” eye to eye.
I know I want 14s. But I want to get cab back on and pull some measurements and dial in ride height before I commit to buying anything
@@DirtGarage i can pull some measurements if you need. Or you can check it out next time you’re over the border. I’m just south of you and the GHPC guys.
Yeah Fenix!
Why not install the bolt from the other end?
Because then the nut would be in the way.
This is possible on the side without the pumpkin, but not on the pumpkin side. I did manage to clear my steering stops just fine though
Another awesome one!
Greetings from up in Alaska! If you ever think of producing this kit to sell, I WILL buy one! I've been watching you since you put the supercharger on the old 5VZ. It's awesome to see how the quality of your builds has improved over the years. Ill be doing a 1UZ + turbo swap in my '94 pickup in the next few months. Keep on inspiring people, Clinton! You and your rigs absolutely rock.
Being able to fabricate "what I need" is such a bonus and joy !
I did something very similar when building / welding on the custom set up for my solid axle ae86 drift car, although the aim is a little different since the purpose was to create points similar to traction bracket kits and move the panhard mounting point for a very low ride.
I had a old pair of shocks I drilled out to keep the axle roughly in place, than would articular the movement of the axle with a jack for the pan hard mount location.
Equal length arm retain pinion angle if the top is shorter it'll increase pinion/caster angle if the top link is longer it'll decrease pinion angle if front and back of the arms are mounted the same distance top link to bottom link
Ive been wanting to 3 link my front axle for a while!! Great job!
Thanks! 👍
I'm surprised you didn't rotate the knuckles for driveline angle if your keeping the low pinion. No judgement, I'm too scared to do mine without a spare housing and the high pinion mostly fixed front shaft rattle.
Also, I don't remember seeing your triple stick shifter before. Do you have an old video on that? I got the northwest fab trident ($$$) because it was the nicest I could find (mostly lower profile), but I'm always interested in other solutions. Thanks, jelly of your 3 link!
My triples are actually just a modified TG double. And as I mentioned in this video, most decisions I'm making are based off repeatability. So if I make a kit out for someone I don't want them to have to cut and turn the knuckle balls.
Where’s the knuckle ball gussets ? You were right there anyways……..
Coming soon. That'll be part of the coilover bracket.
What gearbox is that coupled to the 1uz? Does it need an adapter plate? Type of flywheel and clutch?
R150. I used conversion bellhousing and flywheel
I love phoenix, I have a black cat named Salem. They’re awesome. Oh, yeah your truck is alright too 😉
The cat is the most popular character on the channel! Haha
Looking good my friend 👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Can you sas the 4Runner already lol preferably with a wagoner dana44 so I can mimic your set up lol
This maaaay happen. Although the 4Runner really isnt a wheeler and just my wifes daily driver. We have talked about it haha
@@DirtGarage I hope to see it! Cuz I’ve been debating to go 3 link or springs
Siiiiiiiiick!!!
Thanks buddy!
Are these kits available to get that you have made?
Possibly. I've been designing to re-produce. Need to do alot of testing before I even think about it.
@DirtGarage definitely be cool to see for sale one day definitely like the stuff your building keep up the good wrk
Cant wait to see how this turnes out, I have my Axle for my own SAS and considering 3 Link now with watching your build
Do it!
CAD at work;
Or is that CAT at work
Yeah, Phoenix definitely does all the computer CAD work. Guys pretty smart, I just work here.
