What is the profit of increasing volumetric efficency?........and in the period of overlap .....will there be no mixing of burned gases and fresh air

+kuru singh It increases the amount of power developed . Coz low volumetric eff. Means less fuel ia burning. The time of overlap kills some power but its required for proper combustion....
