- This is from 3 days where i search different areas for bass on Guntersville Lake. Found fish but sure had to put a lot of work into it. I used the Old Town PDL 120 and peddled several miles each day. The spinnerbait and fluke did most of the work as I struggled Tring to catch them on a frog.

They corralled the baitfish in there and holding them… they are feasting. It’s the fall transition so that’s one thing fish will do! I like how you said “what’s changed?” That’s how you know a good angler that’s dialed! Good for you bud!
Wow! What happened at 1.38? The line broke and then a second later it sounded like someone jumped into the lake! I think you missed a 10 pounder! My take on this lake creek: In the fall, the big fish seem to be deeper. I suspect that you need to go out to a deeper channel to look for the lunkers this time of year. Perhaps try to throw that spinner bait and let it sink for 4-5 seconds before retrieving it. I think you will find bigger fish. Finally; I fishing tournaments should be judged on the total weight of all the fish that you catch. Just judging on the top 5 fish leaves too much to chance.

That's an excellent idea! Takes all the guesswork out of it, when ya forget the measuring board.
They seem to be fat but a little stunted in lengths.
