Soundtrack of my childhood lol, our school bus was a leopard, the service that ran between my house and my gran’s was a Leopard, so safe to say I heard it every day lol, then they brought in those big blocky vibrating rattling Alexander Dennis monstrosities

I remember this Leopard from when it was new, and it was a regular on my local bus route for a time. It's good to see it has been preserved.

I think this must be the Leyland Leopard on the front of the 'Bus & Coach Preservation' magazine :). When I look at the front, I can imagine that Leyland 680 engine growling!
From looking at it, I guess (if I'm still correct) it ran in normal passenger service for 24 years when new - I wonder if a modern bus today will do that. I can't here any clunks on this Leopard when it's going over pot holes 👍!
This is one thing I admire about preserved step-entrance buses.

NIce to hear the engine properly on this video. Sometimes on videos like this it is muffled and all you hear is moaning from the transmission. I don't know whether it's to do with body construction or position of the microphone! I like the experienced driver with his senior citizen flat cap.

I remember these! The back suspension was such that you could actually get air time if the bus went hard enough over and under a dip. Damn near broke my only just grown in front adult teeth on one because of that! HA HA
