Goooood evening guys!! 🌝 Here’s the unkai terrace video! This is the very first video where I shot the whole video without make up ahahahahah Oh well 💁🏻♀️
seeing the fall foliage from the gondola is a bonus. i guess it was too early to pick up some konbini snacks for the trip. hope u ate well afterwards!😋
Yeah, if I would have seen that many people stand in line so early in the morning I would have made a quick U turn straight back to the hotel lol. You are brave!
I'm late to watching your series on Hokkaido! Doing a binge watch today. Unkai Terrace is very pretty and I hope to someday go thanks to this video. Even though it's a "vacation" you're still working to document your experiences for us. I also noticed most of the comments here were from two weeks ago so hoping some more engagement in the comments will get this video promoted by the algorithm.
Your videos are great, we just found you and are so excited about visiting Hokkaido. In what month are your videos in Hokkaido filmed - it's beautiful there with all the flowers!
Hey Sarah! Is it true that this place closes after October 14? I'm going to be in Hokkaido after October 22, and it seems like I can't go, but I'm wanting to make sure. Currently binging your videos, btw. 🥰
Oooh. so beautiful. I would love to go there. Have you ever been to Amanohashidate? I've been there twice, it gives me this kind of feel. So many beautiful places to see!
I'd have packed a snack to take in case I got hungry. xD The scene looks similar to a city I was in Switzerland. It was in a crater, and you could climb to the rim of it to take a look down and see the clouds and rain.
Hi! I was wondering, do you get in queue and there is a place to purchase tickets whilst in the queue? Or do you have to get the tickets from somewhere else before queueing? Thanks!
Although I’ve always been terrified of heights, I can’t help being wowed by the scenery at the Unkai Terrace. Sitting up in those super high chairs (a.k.a the Cloud Bar) must have been an experience once in a lifetime, as is this entire trip to Hokkaido. Loved Episode 2 😅 By the way, I LOL’d at your little “Walk Like An Egyptian” dance on the Cloud Walk platform. Brilliant! 😂👏🏼
The high chairs was so nice! I could sit there and sip coffee forever 😂 Omg an Egyptian dance😂😂 did not think about that! That was my attempt for a cloud dance ☁️
Amazing views in this episode, are u traveling alone here or with someone? I notice you have someone else following u with the camera. Oh, and you look so different with glasses 🤓. Also, what is that 7:04🤣🤣
nice! would like to go visit too when Japan opens to tourists. We'll need to check in to Risonare to be able to ride the Gondola? Can you go for sunset?
You can just get the ticket for the gondola (¥1,900 for adult) so you don’t need to stay at Risonare! The gondola operates only in the morning so you can’t go for sunset 🥲
It looks super beautiful! I'm planning a trip in June but am not sure whether to change my route to go to Unkai because it looks Gorgeous! Is it possible to drive all the way up? Where are the nearest places to stay overnight so that it's convenient to get to the Gondola early? Thanks in advance!
The only way to get to the unkai terrace is by the gondola! There are two hotels nearby: Hoshino Resort and Club Med. I stayed at Hoshino Resort and you can find the video here ruclips.net/video/vuU5G79hSYs/видео.html I heard that Club Med is an all inclusive hotel which is quite nice ☺️
@@TokyoFoodieSarah Thank you so much! Its my first trip to Hokkaido. Now I'm thinking whether to go south to Lake Toya/Hakodate or east towards Unkai Terrace!
@@annew5380 oh great! In this Hokkaido series I’ve covered unkai terrace, Sapporo, Lake Toya, Noboribetsu and Hakodate so hopefully it gives you an idea of these places ☺️

@@frankfort.8252 it was in September!
The efforts you put in on your videos in order to show us a place we can’t currently visit is MUCH APPRECIATED❣️ Arigatogozaimasu‼️
Glad you enjoyed it! 😆🙌
@@TokyoFoodieSarah I did. Hokkaido is one region of Japan I’ve not been to. One day 💭 Keep up the great job❣️ Looking forward to your next video‼️
This is the best vlog I’ve seen of the unkai terrace. Thank you so much for bringing me along! 😘
Glad you enjoyed it!! 🙌
"And my glasses are still cloudy AF" HAHA! Thanks for making me laugh today!
That place is definitely a must for my next trip!👍

Thank you so much for the information. Your video is amazing 👏 😍 💖
it still was very beautiful, I love seeing other places

I'm hoping more people get to know about Unkai Terrace because I thought it's a must if you visit Hokkaido 👍
I still think the Japanese and the British have a lot in common when it comes to queues!!
Sarah another great vlog !
For 4:20 am you look great and have nothing to apologize for
The view is fantastic
Thank you 😂

It’s Beautiful…Cheers.
Even with not perfect clouds, it's a beautiful peak. Seems like the lesson: get there super early, bring warm clothes and pack breakfast.
Perfect summary of the whole video 😂

I’ve never been to Amanohashidate!
That's a great comparison and the gondola line is much shorter!
I'm not sure I could cope with getting up that early, I'm really not a morning person, but the view does look great.
I'd have packed a snack to take in case I got hungry. xD

Just we need to see... A beautiful lady in the clouds.
やはり北海道は壮大で圧倒される自然がとても魅力的ですね‼︎

A classic tourist trap! Man they are raking in the money there. Still, a nice view.
what is the best date to visit Unkai Terrace so that it has high chance to the see cloud?
If I drive, can I drive up the Unkai Terrace without being delayed by the long queue?
The only option to go up the hill is to queue and go on the gondola 🥲
