Enjoyed seeing Orangie flexing her muscle out on the trails. I know this was pushing your comfort zone when solo but it does make for some awesome b-roll! Compliments the burgers quite well lol!
It would be interesting to see you drive across America east to west or north to south using only unpaved roads. I am missing your big overland travels that you use to do.
As a 2 wheeled solo traveler, I liked hearing how you approach difficult obstacles. I've been watching you for years (despite not owning a Jeep yet) and even replay certain sections like @6:00 so I can figure out how you read the terrain. Just something to do to pass the time until my wife and I get our first Wrangler:) Keep having fun out there. Thanks for sharing. cheers
Awesome photography Chris. Your last few videos have been some of my favorites. ( and I’ve watched them all)!Excellent off road footage! I was wondering about the power steering pump for some time but I know that 4WD low will make some whining sounds as well. Be safe and stay well.
Well, last year, we along with Backroad Capers took a "shortcut" from Moab Rim Arch to Picture Frame Arch. Our GPS said the road went all the way through, but we wound up stopping at what we discovered later to be the "High Dive" obstacle and the shortcut was the Behind the Rocks Safari Route. Not willing to damage our rolling homes we took an easy way out to the main road and back to Picture Frame.....
Love Moab. Heading back that way in the spring. Great video and always wait for your new adventures to be posted. This great campsite is why people go to Moab. Venture on 🙂
11:39 Ladies and gentlemen I present to you…….the Philly Stoop…..this is learned at a young age in order to not drip cheesesteak on your shirt……also works for juicy burgers. Well done Mr. schontz 😂
My 2018 jeep power steering was making the same noise as your jeep . So I had it serviced by the jeep dealership They said it was the steering pump So they put one on order. As i live in Tasmania it took 6 weeks to arrive from the US . The cost for the pump was $900.00 Labour was $300.00. In Australia Jeeps are really expensive To buy $92,000. To service a jeep is around $500/600+. My wife and i love our jeep wrangler unlimited Sport and we have so much fun with it that i wouldn't want anything else.
We also have a 2018 JKU. We absolutely love it! At 50,000 miles, it has needed nothing! Sorry about your high repair and service costs. I do my own servicing. One of the most interesting vehicles ever built. Here in the US, Land Rovers are crazy expensive to service, and older Defenders are almost non existent. Jeeps forever!👍
Used to go to Moab more often, say back in the 90's before it really exploded in popularity. Now I still try to hit it at least once or twice a year but it can be trying. Now I hear they've had to start charging for camping at Willow Springs due to the gross overuse. I'd rather pay for the BLM campground outside of Deadhorse. Your video really makes me miss my old '71 Bronco that I used back in the day. Enjoy the journey.
I love going along with you, Chris! Thanks so much. 2 quickie questions: What grill is that which you used to make the delicious burger? and the campsite which you said could be accessed with a 4wd SUV: would a Sprinter-style AWD lifted van be able to get there? Thanks!
Hey, doesn’t your pump use ATF+4? My Chrysler van does with the same set up. I like to pull the oil out wit a turkey baster once a year and refill. Keeps it fresh. Thanks for all you do to entertain and teach us. Oh, sorry if the minivan jokes start. My Jeep is a YJ and also uses ATF+4.
Have you considered using a drone to fly ahead of you, hover and film your drive as opposed to you walking a camera ahead? It might be fun footage to have the drone follow you just at roof height.
fluid really suited the pump. Burger was borderline RAW. Pinkis fine on a prime steak but packaged ground beef, no bueno. What aired down PSI are you running? Looks good
@Cougar Sand Not really. I've been eating rare meat for 30 years very happily after being introduced to it when I was living in France. What's lame, is not trying things out of fear. As long as the meat is fresh, you won't get sick. Try some rare burgers or a rare steak some day - you'll thank me for it.
a stock wrangler will scrape back in this part of moab. and the behind the rocks trail itself is not a joke. so i wouldnt do it with a stock newer cherokee. unless you're okay with lots of underbody scraping.
Well you make good videos but I'm going to take a break from you for a while. It's just something about your new videos that don't do anything for me. I'll come in every now and then just to check to see what's what. But full success with your future endeavors.
I'd like to know who suggested that shop in the nw that did your motor swap. Besides taking way way to long there is zero.reason they didn't add new power steering pump while it was off.considering the miles and use that thing has had.
You should’ve just combined this 8 mins with next weeks 7 mins so we could at least have 15 mins of content. 😂 This is why I’m no longer a patreon supporter- these videos are just mailed in now.
I have nothing against her but this channel really went down hill after he got involved with his gf. You can tell priorities changed and her involvement just changed the vibe. He's drifted away from what made this channel great... cinematography and interesting destinations. Now he is tethered to a "home base" and is rushed to get back there.
@@bullheartstrump 100% agree…. I’m happy that he’s happy, and Shannon seems to be a pretty awesome person, but I’m really bummed that my favorite channel is but a shell of its once greatness.

Incredible driving techniques. Incredible filming…

Great video, Chris! Loved driving that trail earlier this year. Spotter highly recommended.
Your solo wheeling is impressive! And those burgers... Wow!!!
Really enjoy ya videos. Long time viewer.
Thanks for bring us along your adventure. That burger though.... was not perfectly done. It needed at least another full minute.
Enjoyed as always Chris! Happy Holidays!
Wow, another great episode. Looking forward to the 2nd half.

Love the wander. Nothing better than a full tank of gas and an empty road to explore. My son and I love your channel Chris!
beautiful campsite and delicious looking burger!

Glad to see you and RNG back out on adventures again.
Way to go Orangie. Nice view of a mountain range, sweet spot next to that ledge and a good burger. Don't get much better buddy.
Ha ha ha I am in Moab right now. Great place
Enjoyed watching Orangie crawl over those obsticles. Moab is certainly on my bucket list.
Yep..lucky... n it just doesn't happen..thanks for making their day n sharing your passion Dad..Derek..fun,family n food

That looked tricky what a campsite
Enjoyed video
Perfect burgers!!!
You really need to do the Schaeffer trail. It where thelma and Louise last scene ended. Sooo worth it. Trust me.
Well that was fun ! No crowds there now ! Stay safe
Wow--that's a campsite!
I knew I’d see you eating those burgers! 😂 we had a blast in Moab. There’s so much fun to be had. We will probably make this a yearly adventure too.
Thar is legend
Nice to see you at it, Cheers Joseph
That pattie is practically still mooing! Lol
Great adventure as always, but let's cut to the important stuff. What the heck were you eating at 13:40? It looked like a giant hot dog....
I told you that power steering was going south months ago! My Ford Maverick used to make that sound.
Good stuff Chris... Loved the Campsite 'n burger 😆
Ps:ignore the people ' n their negative comments 👍🏻
Awesome 👏

..if I remember correctly you must use Mopar steering fluid and the squeaking will stop ....you can damage the steering pump .

Too raw for me, but to each his own with meat. Good trail video and yes, don't always send it.

The weather seems fine - maybe just a little chilly. Your thoughts on a November or December Trip to Moab?
hahah SEND IT
love Moab, hate the crowds, last time I was at City market it was a Zoo
You should flush your fluids and replace them with new fluids because they get watery
nice video and nice wheeling! did you re gear your rubicon? thanks
You should get a license plate wireless camera for the front so you can see your front view. Just like a backup camera. Check out type s webstie
No way I would have done that
too pink for me on the burger :)
you don't know what you're missing...
12:00...a Big Kahuna?
fluid really suited the pump. Burger was borderline RAW. Pinkis fine on a prime steak but packaged ground beef, no bueno. What aired down PSI are you running? Looks good
I remember Chris saying in a previous video, that he normally runs 15-18 psi when off roading on trails like this.
Bruce is right - Chris normally runs around 15psi.
👍👍👍👍👍
They need to fix those roads(trails) lol
That burger looked a lil too raw for me! Lol
don't knock it, till you try it!

Why would you wait until you have traveled so far off the road before adding power steering fluid-knowing you have a problem?!
