I have been around for 58 of those 70 years. collected them all from 1965 until about 1985. I have still got them including the larger Classics from Yesteryear range. I also have most of the Dinky and Corgi models from then. Got the Beatles Yellow Submarine, Thunderbird 2 with 4, Batmobile, Joe 90 car, Space 1999 Eagle transporters and many others. They were all metal and made in England.

Nice themed set. Bought today the regular moving parts Mazda MX-30 in grey colour, and it has the dog in the trunk as well. From Matchbox fandom wiki I did read that there's another variation with luggage in the trunk, but I'm happy with the dog version :) I guess this Mazda is EV only in Europe, but in other markets there is a optional hybrid version with Wankel rotary engine, so the Wankel engine isn't dead after all :)
@@DiecastDudeofficial Indeed, I'm tempted to paint the B-pillar black like in the real MX-30. Good thing it has detailed head- and tail lights already.
My favorite? Deventive the Porsche 911 🥰 But it looks, that Matchbox can make DieCast cars with good quality, if they want. So maybe the hope ist not gone.. 🙏
