this was a different type of video from you, and i loved every minute of it. the reflections at the end are the best part and the music made me cry 🥲 already looking forward to your next vid!
I keep being impressed by your editing style; the flow is simultaneously relaxing and engaging!
This video definitely made me appreciate game design more, tbh. I can't even begin to imagine all the aspects you'd need to consider to make a good tutorial; it seems impossible to consider a proper range of previous experiences to prevent it from being wordy and excessive, but still informative enough for new players to not be entirely lost.
As a casual-at-best gamer, I've experienced a lot of games that are somehow the worst of both, too; Not succinct _or_ informative, somehow. I also have less tolerance for bad tutorials; I wonder how much of it is just physically aging or maybe more experience with actually good tutorials.
You also 'indirectly' brought up another video thought experiment; how much of a game's enjoyment is based on the social scene behind it? I think that'd be really interesting to talk about.
very very well made and cool video, although i do disagree with a few points i still really like the whole thing
