Thank you for your videos. I am glad I saw this one. I am one of those that has had an issue with the Gas Stop and my generator. My Gas stop has worked fine with all other items. However, when I tried to run my propane generator with Gas Stop, the generator would run for only a number of seconds before it would stop. When I removed the Gas Stop, the generator ran fine. It appears that the Gas Stop sees the generator as a major leak.

That's interesting. Sorry to hear about that situation Chuck. But thanks for mentioning it here. There are some folks who have trouble with the device in their rig setup, but most have no issues with it. Maybe GasStop can help you figure out a workaround.

Propane is why I went to an all electric Diesel Pusher. gases top is great for anyone who has propane.

So all appliances in your diesel are powered by electric and you don’t use LP gas at all? I haven’t bought an RV yet but I want a diesel pusher. Do you have solar to help maintain your electric levels when not hooked up? Or extra batteries? What’s the secret to being all electric?

@@masonparis2170 Everything is electric but the Oasis furnace/ on demand water heater that's diesel fueled and with a diesel generator. We rarely boondock so no need for solar but we have 16 6v batteries and a 12.5kw generator.

That sounds like a really nice setup Roy!

Hi thanks for the video. I know there is a lot of debate about traveling while using propane. Do you recommend traveling with your propane off or using it?

You are right. There is a lot of debate on this one. And there are interesting points made on both sides. I normally take a position on most RV related matters. But on this issue, I'm going to leave it up to each person to decide how much risk they are willing to accept. Thanks for watching and asking this question!

Appreciate your upfront approach to discussing the review of a free product without compromising your integrity. Did you test your furnace after installing the product? Have read about a few users that had problems with the furnace after installing.

Good question Robert. Yes, I tested everything afterward just to be sure that there weren't any issues. I have noticed that a few people have had some problems with the product, but the GasStop site seems to indicate that it's a compatibility issue with the propane regulator in many cases. But for me, it was just dead simple to install and I would never know that it's even in the LP system now.

Nice video. Have seen multiple reviews of GasStop, but this was the first for a motorhome horizontal tank. Thanks. Curious why you didn’t use yellow teflon tape on fittings. Travel safe.

I know Bob. It seems like all the reviews I have seen have been for towable LP tanks. That's also a good point about the teflon tape too. I probably should have used it, but it just slipped my mind. I guess I was thinking too much about getting the video setup right. :-)

Bob good question as I was wondering same thing. I wouldn’t put it on threads that I use frequently but this being a permanent install I see the value.

Interestingly though, GasStop does not mention the use of gas line thread sealant tape on their own instructions or videos. So I guess it's a personal decision whether you use it or not.

@@RVInspectionAndCare the place where I get propane recommended it as “belt and suspenders” to prevent leaks on my grill. I leave it out year round so it get very hot and very cold. I think you are correct about personal decision.
