Good job ESPN. You've got 24 hours a day to fill -- enough time for you to repeat programming for hours and hours, and I still don't know how your number one trick play of all time ended. Classic.
The punt return where Devin Hester faked getting under the ball and catching it and instead Johnny Knox returned it for a score was an awesome trick play. It was brought back because of some phantom hold, but check that one out. Good play
Believe me, I'm a Bucs fan and we have had a few games where we felt just like the bills (MNF game against the colts in 2003) but I would never take credit away where credit is due.
@ponybcurtis I've seen angles of that play from the sideline, and you can see that the ball actually does travel backwards. I thought it was a forward pass, too, until I saw that angle.
@ponybcurtis I have watched the replay myself dozens of times and have still yet to see a forward pass. The ball ended up exactly the same spot on the field laterally as it was when it left his hand. That my friend is called a lateral.
I know this is only American Football, but serioiusly, some other sports should be in here! Like Football! Zanetti's goal for Argentina in 98 vs England was an amazing trick play, the English had no idea what happened until the ball hit the back of the net.
@ricemancometh Well, the fact is, the call was made and can never be changed, but the close-ups show that the ball went forward, even if only by a half a yard or less. It wasn't a mircale, it was a scam...
I know alot about football and that was a forward lateral unless they decided the play was a WR Pass but it was just a screen and he decided to throw it foward to the guy over there...
@ricemancometh Believe it or not, I'm not a Bills fan. I just think they deserved to go the big show that year. They should not have let the game come down the last play, but it is clear to me that there was a missed call on that play.
@ponybcurtis They may have deserved it but they didn't earn it. The Titans earned their way there with a great play and not giving up with just seconds remaining. No missed call anywhere. The bills just got beat, sometimes one play can change everything and in this case it did.
I can't see why Hook and Ladder and Half Back passes are trick plays. They should be part of the arsenal of every team. If every back can pass, that has got to make the defence really have to work.
Number one is the exact same play FSU ran vs Clemson in 88'(Puntrooskie) in Death Valley between two top 10 teams in a college football classic. How is the same play run by some unknown in a game that no one saw 2 years later on this list but not the Puntrooskie? I normally wouldnt complain but its the exact same play and FSU did it two years earlier on a much much larger stage and we were backed up in our end late in the 4th quarter. ESPN really screwed that one up.

Omggg number 1 is where I play football at saint Mary’s in Canada !!!
TP #2 was my favorite... I remember watching that play on television and going crazy after the TD.
Omggg number 1 is where I play football at saint Mary’s in Canada !!!

Number 1 was a pretty damn slick play, Nice handoff back to the actual runner
Omggg number 1 is where I play football at saint Mary’s in Canada !!! I’m so suprised to see my school at number 1
I'm *still* blown away by the Saints' onside kick to start the second half of Super Bowl XLIV.
makes VHS look like HD
that last one was frickin BOSS!
2:15 love that commentary.
Believe me, I'm a Bucs fan and we have had a few games where we felt just like the bills (MNF game against the colts in 2003) but I would never take credit away where credit is due.
Nice to see some Canadian content!
Cool I didn't know they had Trick Plays on Techmobowl!
damn! some football teams r actually good! :P awesome video
panthers "fumblerooski" variation was phenomenal
@ponybcurtis
I've seen angles of that play from the sideline, and you can see that the ball actually does travel backwards. I thought it was a forward pass, too, until I saw that angle.
0:36 i got goosebumps, epic
@StandardNeekeri Balls can be circular or ovoid. Ovoid being "egg shaped"
The browns had a nice Running Back Pass this season
i remembered they did the fumberuski in waterboy, or was it another movie, w/e either way, that play is too good to be legal
Number 1 was awesome, but where in the world is the BSU Statue Of Liberty play from the Fiesta Bowl?
i remember when Dallas vs Washington was actually a good Monday night game
Number one was really sneaky :)
I love how most of these "trick plays" occur almost every saturday and sunday these days.
lmfao number one, the annexation of puerto rico.
@ponybcurtis I have watched the replay myself dozens of times and have still yet to see a forward pass. The ball ended up exactly the same spot on the field laterally as it was when it left his hand. That my friend is called a lateral.
the last one was sick
love the last play
that third pixel was my favorite
#1 Now THAT! Qualifies to be called EPIC!
Not yelling Leeroy Jenkins..
#1 was awesome :o
Randle El to Ward was amazing.
number 1 was so good it fooled the camera man.
I know this is only American Football, but serioiusly, some other sports should be in here! Like Football! Zanetti's goal for Argentina in 98 vs England was an amazing trick play, the English had no idea what happened until the ball hit the back of the net.
Which toaster did you record this with?
these plays are so tricky, I can't even see whats happening :o
What was that one where they took the kick and huddled up and then they all ran down field and you couldn't figure out which one had the ball?
when your play is so good it tricks the camera... lmfao
The last play is the annexation of Puerto Rico. Thumbs up if you know what im talking about a.k.a. had a childhood.
Cool
@ricemancometh The so-called lateral was a forward pass. All the video replays show it clearly
The last one was epic
Was this filmed with the 1986 Potato?
It would help if there was more than 1/4 of a pixel dedicated to the ball.
what brand of toaster was this recorded with?
Which brand of potato was used to record this?
@chain1978
has "Those pixels look like legos" ever been used?
@ricemancometh Well, the fact is, the call was made and can never be changed, but the close-ups show that the ball went forward, even if only by a half a yard or less. It wasn't a mircale, it was a scam...
thats a pretty good blender you recorded this with...
TSN ALWAYS leaves out at least one thing from their top 10s. S-t-a-t-u-e o-f L-i-b-e-r-t-y
Ooooooohhhhhhhhh that's where the ball went
Ummm Dan Reeves Halfback pass to Lantz Rentzel in the ICE Bowl, 1967!
I'm pretty sure this segment was done before the Fiesta Bowl
Surprised Boise State's Fiesta Bowl highlights were in here.
Hey, where the hell were the ones from the Boise/Oklahoma game?
I know alot about football and that was a forward lateral unless they decided the play was a WR Pass but it was just a screen and he decided to throw it foward to the guy over there...
You know what's tricky? Watching this video in this quality
I like the bit when the white pixel moves...
the high school one where the coach asks for a new ball is a CHEAP play, not a trick play. But the rest are pretty good!
@ricemancometh Believe it or not, I'm not a Bills fan. I just think they deserved to go the big show that year. They should not have let the game come down the last play, but it is clear to me that there was a missed call on that play.
@StandardNeekeri How do you figure it's not a ball?
lol the linemen hand off worked well
# 3 was the best ever
number 4 was the best coach looked like he didn't know waht happened
lol
pelase reply
@Drock1891 The throw was ruled a lateral and confirmed on replay. Though the call was very controversial.
Did you record this with a potato?
So laterals are trick plays now?
This was probably before the 2007 Fiesta Bowl, but 1-2-3 should be the tricks plays by Boise State in that game.
It'd be cool if you could see the plays.
@r0llskyay0 Not really, the point of all sports is to have fun. And he just gave his team the more fun than any other football coach ever has.
If I had a dollar for each pixel in this vid...I'd have a dollar.
Was this filmed with a toaster?
did u record this with a potato?
Cam newtons trick play should be up there now
what type of potato did you use to record this ?
cool
number 1 reminds me of the Little Giants
@ponybcurtis They may have deserved it but they didn't earn it. The Titans earned their way there with a great play and not giving up with just seconds remaining. No missed call anywhere. The bills just got beat, sometimes one play can change everything and in this case it did.
If i had a dollar for every pixel in this video, I would have .63 cents
that last one was dirty
its not a sideways snap, it's a silent snap otherwise the defense would think somethings up
Which pixel is the ball?
if i had a dollar for every pixel in this video i would have enough money to buy a red bull at the gas station and then have 13 cents left in change
Which pixel is the football?
top 10 football trick plays
I take that back. I stand corrected.
were was the football used in this video? lol
the guy said "it catches it at the 25" , and the receiver had his foot on the 25... might be that
Not sure if Trick Plays montage, or Zapruder film.
I was expecting to see at least ONE of the trick plays from Boise State's bowl win over Oklahoma...
I can't see why Hook and Ladder and Half Back passes are trick plays. They should be part of the arsenal of every team. If every back can pass, that has got to make the defence really have to work.
Which pixel is a pixel?
Was this filmed with a potato?
what, did you film this with a potato?
#4 DIRTY lol. so help me out here...you can keep passing it as long as it is behind the line of scrimmage?
#4 is played in peewee football all the time
WTH, did you record this with a Calculator??
is number one the montreal machines?
Number one is the exact same play FSU ran vs Clemson in 88'(Puntrooskie) in Death Valley between two top 10 teams in a college football classic. How is the same play run by some unknown in a game that no one saw 2 years later on this list but not the Puntrooskie? ESPN really screwed that one up.
Ahaha number one is actually my school I play at right now! Small school in Halifax Nova Scotia
which pixel is the end zone?
@ponybcurtis it doesnt matter they lost 4 straight super bowls what makes you think they would have won this one?
Where is the Boise/OSU game? The 4th and 18th hook and lateral was way better than the Miami one.
even the camaramen didn't know where the ball was at the last one. :D
