Do pit boards actually still work nowadays when riders are going this fast? I mean they have to focus on their lines, maintaining flow etc, there is so much going on and then you have to also read a pit board in a split second. There are 20 mechanics lined up and you have to spot yours and read the thing. I get it that back in the day when bikes were slower it worked or when there is more room and time to spot it for example with pro motocross, but for supercross it feels like really outdated thing. Why not have helmet radio so they can even time messages better and really help the rider when needed. Plus the radio contact can be broadcasted as well so it gives the fans more insight. Not that I'm complaining, but just always wondered why they still use what seems such an outdated method.
Maybe just maybe the AMA should allow in helmet rf communications with the pit team. This has been banned for forever but with things progressively faster yes it might be a better idea than breaking people’s fingers. They are just scared it would be used for blocking purposes with the aid of a spotter I get that but there’s got to be a way to not have that but have lap times and information that’s required like maybe an ai system that can say it to the riders and their gap information etc. that would be far better.
Deegan isn't winning the championship. Between beaumer being 17 which means he has the endurance no matter what to make it and the skill. And if Shimodo will get his crap together. I hope one of the two wins the championship. That way they can shut the Deegans up. Its annoying they literally act like he is the only rider out there. What next just give a girl a car and a spot to race becasue who her dad is..oh wait

And look what happens - Shimoda has broken fingers, a potential championship ended by an idiotic mechanic's "need" to give his B rider a message.

Still a bit of racing left. Not to mention the 2 shootouts lots of points to be gained or lost. 10 points seems like alot but its not. Juju gets a bad start and deegan wins its flipped back to nothing

I stand up for the pit board. But faster 4-stroke bikes did/do cause a lot of problems. Too fast for even a block pass.
