I upgraded to a sawstop, the contractors but with the upgrades of iron wings on both sides and the Professional 36" T-Glide Fence Assembly. Still a huge upgrade from my Dewalt table saw of 20 years ago. Love the channel!

imagine the damage to your toes if you weren't wearing your safety sandals. that was a close one. Remember kids, safety third. 😆 well deserved upgrade. Congrats Brad.

Bro, I had a full anxiety attack @ 0:55. Glad your upgrading. I've restarted the woodworking hobby for about 2 years now. I'm picking up my sawstop this weekend. The safety feature is really important to me and people seem to like the brand overall. I'm most likely going to get the Jessem clear cut stock guides as well.

Not even going to make any jokes, that is an extremely nice saw. Reminds me of the equipment I used 30 years ago when I worked in a finished carpentry shop.....makes me want to trade in my old King benchtop table saw to. Well done, I'm looking forward to seeing the jigs you come up with for it!

Good looking saw. You could always make a double elbow with 100# magnets as a spacer just incase you need to cut a lot of over 30" wood. My brother in law has a similar saw but it's a lot bigger and it does a fantastic job. I believe it cost him around 4K which I thought was too much for a hobbyist. You can't take the money with you so spend it anyway that makes you happy! LOL! Thanks again for another interesting video, keep them coming. I always look forward to seeing you very interesting videos.

Really nice saw! Wish I had the means... Nah, I'm OK with my old construction saw (not even as good as yours), as I don't do sufficient work to justify changing it :-)
Hope you find great satisfaction and productivity using your new saw - it sure looks impressive :-)

@@DIYBuilds yes and no, sawstop won US patent lawsuit so no US sales but still available in other countries like Canada but frankly hard to find.. and only available as a jobsite style saw.. Guess not much reason to expand the line when they lost the US market..

A table saw is only as safe as the operator using it. I have been using the same table saw for the last 30 years with no riving knife no zero clearance insert and yes I've had a few kickbacks but I think if you would not have taken your hand off the piece you were cutting you would have been fine and you would not have launched the piece you were cutting.

If you get any comments about safety SawStop Real Man blahhhh just remember real men cut their hotdogs with axes not table saws.
Hold on buddy... I know your dust collect is located in that corner.. if you shorten it from where it is to get the drop coming down a foot over it'd clear... no? I see it as a pain to get in there and do it but.. long run better. Maybe, maybe not worth. You have your reasons.
