Keep up the good work lads. Your combi gauge is one of the best tools I've ever had!

A few weeks for the design to be completed, then the first batch usually takes a few weeks also. It won't be cheap, but we're trying to design it so it doesn't break the bank either. The steel blade makes up the bulk of the materials cost so I might need to do something with that.

Your heart is in the right place when it comes to quality, but everyone and their brother is making Tri-Squares, Angle Gauges, etc. Comeuppance with something new, unique, and hasn't been done a million times over. At this point, there are too many variations done to the same tools and yet everyone still buys the same ones over and over. Create something NEW, USEFUL, AND ACCURATE. Oh, and at a price that the average person can afford and not go into debt for.

Definitely. Our company philosophy is to make innovative tools or tools that are better than anything else on the market. If it can be both then that's great. Price is a difficult one when people are used to paying for tools made in the far east. Factories there are heavily subsidised. Premises, energy and staff costs in the west are more than 10x what they cost in the far east, and manufacturers like us get very little support from the government (unlike China). So we have to compete on quality rather than price.
I understand that puts us out of reach of some people, but competing on price alone with far eastern made tools sold on Amazon and Ebay is a non-starter for us. For the last decade our customers seem to approve.
