Well how do you even define a character “bad” after a year after dehya’s release, objectively Dehya is a good unit in the context of standard character power at c0. But because of CC’s whose definiton of “bad” outright lack insight of any future additions genshin the community becomes a toxic pile of shit because of people who push their own narratives to other people.
When a new player built Dehya and actually had good results on her, this people harass and calls you dumb for like, what? Building a character?

Nah we 100 percent won from this. We’re literally able to see early access in certain characters. This affects predominantly us, and in a good way because we get to see these characters ourselves.
@@dizy82This is nothing unique from other companies. Companies partner with certain CCs and give them early access to content to show fans. This isn't anything new or unique to Hoyoverse, this has been done for years with many companies and only now are people complaining about the 'fairness' of it all.

Am I the only one who thinks this whole situation is just like really stupid? Like think about it logically, let’s say, hypothetically, cc’s who had access to the early access server couldn’t say anything negative about the new character coming out, or couldn’t say something like “E0 + F2P weapon character X is outright terrible.” The cc makes a video that hoyoverse “approves” of and in that video they only say things that hoyoverse approves of like only positives or other opinions that the cc has. The character comes out and the character ends up actually being shit. Cc’s make videos on the new character and the unanimous decision from everyone in the community is that the character is shit. That situation doesn’t make any sense financially for hoyoverse because at first maybe some people will buy into that new character because cc’s that make content on the early access server say things about how good the character is or whatever opinion they have while also being restricted from saying anything negative. But having a system like this would cause the community to be unable to trust hoyoverse and cc’s that make content on the early access servers. People would know not to trust anything that comes out of the early access because they know that hoyoverse restricts cc’s from saying anything negative, potentially causing them to lose money. Just doesn’t make sense to me. Sorry if that didn’t really make sense, I just don’t get why people are getting mad without thinking the situation out completely first. Hoyoverse is a business and obviously they wouldn’t wanna lose the trust of their community because that could make them lose money. The situation that everyone is speculating to be true just seems like something hoyoverse wouldn’t do because it would never benefit them financially or trust wise from the community. This isn't a first time, it is a revitalization of the practice, Honkai Impact 3rd Used to allow Betas to be shown by content creators and guide makers and they stopped it like a few months ago.
There are reversed back to they old plane now they announced that few weeks ago , main reason after they switch it to close beta the game had a hell lot more bugs 😅😅

Lots of other games do early previews and most games don't even give any access. This is still far better than them completely shutting out everyone to stop leaks.

I was surprised that Hoyo made the decision to allow pre-release content when I saw the Acheron video, but I cannot blame them for testing the waters slowly for getting ahead of leaks. I think this is a good move for the company. I cannot blame anyone that looks at leaks to decide how to spend their pulls. Having more transparency earlier, before a banner begins goes a long way to eliminating the desire to look at leaks.
As far as doing what Brax does professionally... Of course you need to get paid for what you do. Should a traditional journalist not get paid if they get an exclusive interview or get the opportunity to release an article a day before others? Of course they should still get paid.

Just going to be flat out honest here Brax.
I prefer watching your guides over anyone elses when it comes to a character. Why?
Because each and everytime you are flat out honest about a character when it comes to these games. If you say Acheron won't work as a main without her light cone, then that is good for me to know as it could prevent me from making a bad spending decision, instead of me just going with my wallet and or with the hype train. This hype train after all was what had made me get Eula, Itto, Ayato, and even Navia in genshin. It was thanks to that hype and me following that, that I went and got them. When looking back is something I actually regret now.
I am still going to get Acheron either way even if I don't get her light cone, because she's a character I want. Not someone I am following a hype train for, but at least I know that she will still be strong thanks to your guide and impressions because you give other options.
I mean acheron is still doing crazy damage compared to those Genshin characters. So I'd say she's still worth the hype.
Honesty is more appreciated after reading her light cone I felt like it was really mandatory to have it with her. Want to thank you for your guides on characters been helping my progress in Honkai

Really appreciate this video, I was waiting for the context of someone that is directly involved and not others ass blasting their nuclear narrative because they jump to inconclusive assumptions and try to make something that isn't really drama into nuclear drama!
I fully agree that other people in the space, were they to be given this opportunity to preview and share an unreleased character that has to be approved by Mihoyo... They would definitely take that opportunity. It's also evident that it's something new they're trying to implement to mitigate or counter leaks from people or entities datamining their servers.
As with the recent livestream, Shaoji expressed his discontent and frustrations with the leaks and you can really feel that they want to combat having all their hard work go down the drain because of leaks. They are aware that people possibly already knew of Acheron's kit even prior to the early access videos from leaks you can find simply by browsing the web!
At least they're trying to take action in this way similar to how Marisa Impact gets early information for Honkai Impact 3rd. I do think it's important to also realize that should this new method succeed for Mihoyo, other creators (like guide makers) could be expanded upon and continue with their channels, or it could all just end if it doesn't and then this wouldn't matter anymore thereafter.
I also implore people to stop taking face value what Tectone says because he is way too volatile and impulsive when anything concerning Mihoyo occurs.

Saying Sparkle is strong enough to not need 2 nihility units to activate Acheron full buff is actually damaging the profits of Hoyo as now her e2 is less demanded, if hoyo really wants this to be totally advertising and merchandising every new character this part would have been entirely rejected and removed from the video.
They just want something to be mad at, genuinely
The point is, lets make every character get their own spotlight without actually getting ruined by another character's existence.
Let's be honest, some of us don't wanna hear something like "don't pull IL if you don't have Sparkle" or "don't pull Jingliu if you don't have Bronya" or even "don't pull SW if you don't play mono quantum".
@@justpassingby2930then you should search for other types of content that's not guides because that's what guides are. They tell you what are the best teams and some of these units you listed don't have a 4* unit comparable.
For example, mono quantum without SW is significantly worse investment since you lose on the brute forcing enemies that are not weak to quantum - which is what make mono quantum a good team to invest in the first place. And as of now, no other unit can implant new weaknesses like SW do

If you want to build a super duper blablabla IL comp then of course you need Sparkle, but if you just solely pulling for Imaginary DPS then you DONT have to pull for Sparkle. And same goes to SW, SW was NEVER intended to be solely for mono Quantum, but of course it DIFFERENT matter if we talking about building a team comp like mono Quantum.

I love seeing characters ahead of time to get a feel for what they'll be like so i can plan out where i'm going to pull. Characters are the only things i want to see ahead of time though, no story or anything like that. I would love to see this initiative go forward with more star rail content creators getting hands on time before release to safely see what's in store for future characters without risking other types of information in advance

Nice and informational video. This move by Hoyo could only be one of 2 things if you think about it - 1. To control the narrative 2. To allow creators access to info prior to even leakers and control what information gets out (basically a more healthy, curated leaks). I want to believe it's number 2. I hope other creators can react to that content and then further build on it. Having information released earlier prior to the debut of a character is something that helps people make choice and save for certain characters and i think many people look at the leaks because of that without nay ill intentions. We need that system to be officially in the game and even if characters are subject to change, we should still have a general idea of what the character does way earlier than the livestreams showcase.
But how early would be the question. Weeks, months?
@IvoryTaurean I think that getting the kit on a hoyo website together with drip marketing for a character would be enough for people to make more clear decisions on what they want to pull. That would then be followed by content creator showcases on the special servers to further reafirm your decision. All of those weeks before the version livestream.
@Getsumei_ The issue with that is whether hoyo decides to do any last-minute changes in between the livestream and release. I'm not saying it's a bad idea. It's actually a good idea. I'm weighing both the pros and cons. Devs should be ahead of leakers.

Yeah but so it was eitherway. The game is so popular that everyone just naturally flocks to the big creators. Some go back and forth but eventually they forget about the smaller ones

What I like about leaks is watching character kits gets modified as they get closer to launch. You can see if they nerfed a character into the ground or buffed it to high heaven.

thx brax for this video, In my opinion, even if Hoyo puts restrictions on what you can say in such a video, it is their right to do so. In simple terms, company gives support to creators if you play by the rules of the company. if you want to ignore the rules/play by our own rules, then do it with out the suport of the company.
and dont feel bad about "survivor's guilt". Everyone would take advantage if it presents itself.
Even if I don't fully understand why Sevy didn't get the chance (I think her guides are some of the best), I think that instead of getting upset about it or blowing the whole thing up, many creators should better ask themselves why they didn't get the same right. or in some cases it's just bad luck.

Limited early access seems like a legitimate alternative to leaks. It shows the character animations and gives an overall idea of their kit and teams. Makes people exited for the character. Might make it easier to choose who to use your jades on. The more in depth build guides come later.

I like this to be honest, not because they are ''restricting'' early acess but that's a way to create hype a bit earlier of x content release, cc can also be affected by leaks, dont know how hoyoverse will continue with this but they could give acess ( take this with a grain of salt ) to another creators for next characters as well
edit: i think we shouldn't look to the person who's receiving this early permission but for the fact this could help content creators.

I got into your videos when I was looking for ways to do up my characters in Honkai, I really like the honesty and also the way you make it for f2p players like myself, I didn't fully get to see the Acheron video but seeing the picture it makes me want to get both the character and the light cone, don't think I'll get both cause I was a bit greedy to get someone else in my team rather then a E0 Serval since I love the E6 Serval but Imma try for both cause I do like the looks of what I saw from that video
Creators will never be ahead of leakers with this 1-week guide when there are leaks for a character with a month or more ahead, along with every change made for that character and weapon/LC. Is just nice to get a different opinion, so I really don't care who is the person reviewing that character. My decision to pull or not will not be influenced either way.
