The N64 does not output a component signal, the chip you installed enables RGB Scart. Hd retrovision cables converts the scart signal to component.

The more you know! I didn’t realize it did all of that. I’m not too versed on the technical side of that. I just knew what I needed in order to make it do what I wanted it to do. Thanks for explaining that!
