The thing with the Ahab Starbuck Queequeg fight IMO is that you really just want a tank or a unit you don't give a shit about to eat the unclashable attacks, occasionally healing them w Pursuance (or Faust's Fluid Sac / Ish's Blind Obsession if you think you can afford it), and just attack down Starbuck and Queequeg while your trash unit dies. It sucks losing someone but you basically have to. Plus Gasharpoon fight is easy and you get a resurrection afterwards. Also bring nclair because he gets a boost when your units inevitably start dying and iirc they're weak to wrath? So he's one of the best ways to get through Queequeg's bullshit shield. Don't go ham on Ahab because she gets a second phase *only* if she has other units alive. Queequeg also gets a second phase but she stops getting a ton of stuff including her SP regen in phase 2 and she comes back right before a stagger threshold, so her phase 2 is basically useless.
I had Queklif to eat the damage as well as the fact that over half of my team were tanks of some kind There was middle don, and middle meur There was Queklif (as Imentioned before) Then there was Dieci Rodya As long as one of those 4 were taking the hits my gunoutis and W Ryoshu hit like trucks winning me the fight (or did I had Nclair instead of gunoutis I forgot)
you can actually dodge ahab's one-sided attacks. The key here is that starbuck has 3 - 5 speed and ahab 1 - 3 and assist defense DOESNT ACTUALLY REDIRECT ATTACKS ON STARBUCK'S. So get a marked sinner who has a dodge skill and you can handle them from there on out without using a tank or a sacrifice.
Thing is you need to keep Starbuck alive, which is annoying because you need to both keep clashing with Starbuck and also balance Starbuck's HP to not die by a single touch
Second AHAB fight, really is learn the gimmick. But you can semi-burst down her first phase Second phase is a bit of a grind, clash with the ones that gain the debuff. so you can lower the protections. third is when you want to stagger her in one turn if possible. Use literally EVERY Burst attack, set up your fragile giving. I got about 8 turns on my final try.
If I ever get to fighting the Refraction Railway (I need to evel IDs) I hope I can make Ahab play learn the gimmick because he story fight was a joke be honest though how do they compare to each other
@@StazTheBeaveI’m pretty sure this is the unnerfed fight in the story as far as my day 1 memory remembers. You just didn’t have max sanity when you fought them.
Ardor blossom took me a few tries. One clash lost and suddenly everyone has two millions of burn. Ahab team was the hardest for sure, you're basically forced to either sacrifice someone or not kill Starbuck and try to dodge Ahab's attacks by using dodge on Starbuck, which sucks pretty much as much as the other option because Starbuck can deal some good damage himself if he hits his coins, and believe me he WILL hit his coins because of permanent 45 sp provided. E.G.O Ahab wasn't that bad. But i mostly give my thanks here to Cinq Sinclair with his crazy clashes and my hoarder instinct because of which i was basically swimming in E.G.O resources from saving them for all that time.
Funny enough, I manage to make all fight under 10 (except skin prophet, end up with 11 because I was unlucky with candle). Then Peqod Trio appear. I struggle with them in past and still struggle with them until now. Failed 6 times already. I'll try winning today 😢
There is a lot of things wrong with this video 1. Siltcurrent is REALLY easy you can easily nuke him apart in like 2 turns if you have rabbit and the usual nukes 2.Ardor Blossom Moth just asks for you to have a good clashing ego and be able to clash its normal attacks WIngs Usually do the same amount or more attacks than the body so you can target it more 3. You shouldnt use rcorp heathcliff in the 3rd part AT ALL QQ cliff is so much better its not even funny. If you pre stagger on wave 1 and he has bodysack heath easily tanks all of Ahab's unopposeds 4. Nclair is really shit for this railway Most things resist blunt 5. You should just bring full pierce for gasharpoon Cinqclair QQcliff Kraust Etc Etc Etc Rabbit again doesnt work because of Ammo 6. You can choose resistances for spiral of contempt if you free a grasped sinner and brutalize in like 7 turns, Rupture also shreds most of the railway in general
Nope, all defense skills still work on them. The only thing they don't work on is AOEs since it will still hit the rest of the team, but Gossypium has no unclashable AOE (or if it does its that one skill which inflicts zero damage).

Spiral of Contempt is omega easy if you're not going for the special time clear. I took it super slow and just farmed EGO resources on him, and then spammed Fluid Sac / Blind Obsession during the second phase. The EGO resource draining status is scary but it only triggers if you get Gaze, which only happens when you damage the hands AND it's removed from everyone periodically. So I just evaded the hand's attacks (which deal basically no damage unless they win from a clash, so it's fine even if you get hit) and built up sin resources. My fight also went for way too long because I was using a charge team, which does not work well with their gimmick (the envy fragility only triggers after you use your big charge nukes, so it only helps if everyone uses them all at once, and that's once every 6 turns). I'll try it again another time but I think some kind of burn setup is probably the most effective since you can easily get him to max fragility with Liu Ish + Magic Bullet Outis + Nclair and Liu Hong Lu support passive. Then pair it with some crit characters for the pride fragility since it synergizes with Dark Flame. Nclair's S3 and Ishmael's S2 deal mondo wrath damage. You don't need any other burn IDs since burn is really easy to maintain (and also all the other ones suck).
I have a bone to pick with Spiral of Contempt because the mechanic that makes it easier is listed absolutely nowhere in game and you would only conceivably find it by accident or if you looked it up. If one of your guys gets grabbed, which I avoided at all costs for my first few tries until I found out about this gimmick, you can break the hold and you get a skill check that lets you pick an attack type and EGO affinity for the spiral to be weak to for the rest of the fight.
Silt-Current is a little annoying in the sense that a lot of it's clashes will pretty much require EGO during the paralysis phase. And with 4 enemy waves to build it up, I can see people not planning ahead smartly and struggling. It's also just a thing of having strong clashing multi-coin skills as well. I don't remember if it had different mechanics but I also swear the paralysis stuff didn't last as long here as it did during the story dungeon? But that might just be me.
It inflicts 1 paralyze on everyone as long as its fluorescence part is alive. You might have targetted it more here or had a better team which lead to it breaking earlier.
@@jpkurihara I get that but I swear I thought you only got the fluorescence stuff after you staggered him with blind obsession, which would require at least three turns of paralysis. But I might just be misremembering.

For me the hardest ones were: Ardor blossom, Pequod team and Ego Ahab. For the Ardor blossom my main problem was that i had mainly Gloom W' pierce skills, which this moth takes like negative dmg or something i dunno. The battle was just a matter of rng for me, since if Yi Sang would lose a clash against mass attack, im dead. For the Team i was just dumb, a bit of actual strategy and rng to kill Starbuck on 2nd turn alongside with staggering Ahab. And the Ahab Ego was literally one HELL of rng. Phase 1 and 2 easy, phase 3 is an rng hell. I have no healing Id's/Egos, so i'd just hope for a lot of 3rd skill on N. corp Sinclair. Everything else was piss easy and took a maximum of 3 attempts
Ahab’s second phase triggers at 50% hp btw. If you do shit fast enough you don’t need to kill Mr starbucks you can just stagger him and do partial ungabunga on ahab, then next turn ungabunga her.
I did it with my sinking team, very easy sub 90, Ahab is VERY countered by having 45 sinking with 20 count, meaning even if she restores all her sanity, she will instantly go into panic :)
You actually can dodge the unclasbables as while all of the attacks towards Ahab get changed to Quee you can use Starbuck if he’s alive and not staggered to get the dodge active (but Kong Lu is still the best choice)
Spiral of contempt is easier if you focus a damage type/affinity. I went with pierce and intentionally lost a clash agianst grasp, and put it to pierce and envy (i think). Much easier.
you can also avoid losing someone early on in ahab 1 by just not killing starbuck right away. He always speed rolls higher than ahab so you can have a dodge god with the prey mark not get hit at all. You have to kill starbuck at some point though so this only helps to get quequeg's hp lower .
