Me finishing RR2 with 5-149 at launch only to realize that there's sub 150 award that only counts if it was started after the emergency maintenance was a literal punch to the gut.
I'm sorry, did you have the gall to think Ish and Heath shippers were crushed by that scene? Nay, dear RUclipsr, the embers of their heated fight only fueled us even more. Thanks for the video :)
When I first got to the sign of roses fight it had me really think about what it might be about. I feel like this boss might show up in ishmael's chapter when considering the fact that the church bell like noise made it seem as if it was warning of an impending storm of a ship going out to sea and the organ like melody makes it out as if it's to honor the memory of a crew member that couldn't be saved that died out at sea as well as the area looking like it was dried up from receding waves, not to mention the main boss looking like an effort to make a shrine and the whole deal about making a wish or moving on with acceptance. And considering that Ishmael in her rant of the dangers of the sea mentioned someone she knew all her life being taken away in an instant and how in the flashback the white whale just stared as if it were something intelligent that knew what it was doing: *we might end up witnessing the very first instance of why a golden bough breakdown is a very bad thing to have.*
What killed the centipede was the burn damage. From what I seen, if the shields broken and you manage to apply any end of turn damage effects to it that is stacked high enough to take out it's remaining health, THAT damage is considered the fatal blow, since it's technically not enduring an attack. I could be wrong on this though
Brave of you to assume 4.5 crushed the Heathmael dream instead of causing it to skyrocket to fucking andromeda. They are only two sinners able to truly, fully understand each other - and i will die on this hill.
@kar6432 as a cathycliff devotee, i will take this hit. I do not change my mind on them (ishy and cliff) having sort of connection, but i gladly reduce it to bond, not romance. ANY romance pales in comparison to passionate, tempestous love between him and cathy.

Centipede, and this whole Railway, is a lesson on Timing your Staggers, Breaks, and Kills. Centipede gains Self-charge at the start of combat from all of his skills, but then consequently loses that Self-charge over the course of the turn as it loses clashes. However, 2 problems pop up from this: - It cant lose more Self-charge in a turn than it adds, the only way to remove Self-charge is the Event for -3 or breaking through the Self-charge while it's using it as a Barrier in Coil phase - If you bring it down to 1 health while it still had queued attacks, it cancels them. This means you dont get to Clash with them, which means you dont hit the Clash Lose effect to get rid of Self-Charge, meaning he's going to have Self Charge and start the Dying Throes phase of the fight where that remaining charge doubles and you have to strike it down To combat this, you **must** kill the Boss using the last 2-3 skills of the chain to quick kill before the 2nd Coil, and make sure the first 4-5 skills are all combatted against the attacks that reduce the charge on Clash Lose, depending on how many are used. This is an important Strategy to remember because you dont have the turns to wait for the 2nd Coil for the 150, that's 3 of your 4 alloted 6 turn fights, with 5 Steam Transport Machines, 5 Foxes with gradually increasing Protection, The Fairy Bros, and Sign of Roses all vying for that last 6 turn spot, at least in my experience with my 164 First run
Sustain is really important, if you dont have fluid sac faust, G corp Gregor and Cooker Ryoshu passives alongside every healing EGO you can get helps a lot. Found it the hard way, by being softlocked on the 5th cycle at sign of roses due to everyone being pretty much dead. One thing to note too is that using AoE on the umbrellas can backfire by triggering the fox counters.
i can't believe my ass got beat by sign of roses first time i met them, 6/7 sinners killed by status effect (really cool death anim btw), when all i had to do was match the colors like a kindergartener. (flowers are weak to their own color for all unaware)
I feel the issue you bring up of "everything is just smash face" is unfortunately a result of the game trying to not be Library of Ruina, while using Library of Ruina design philosophy. Like, look at the Drifting Fox, because it feels rather similar to some of the Abno fights in LoR, mainly Burrowing Heaven and Road Home, where you need to play defensively until a certain moment where you can start piling on the damage when the opportunity is right, while also still needing to have offensive pressure at the same time. In Limbus, your only real choice is just to keep hitting it until it's dead, protection or no protection, and the turn after the Umbrellas is just the big combo turn. But in LoR, there were numerous possible ways to deal with those two fights. Do you stack debuffs to weaken the boss? Do you use status effects to bypass the defense of the boss? Do you want to go maximum offense and burst the boss down ASAP? In Limbus though, you don't have that option. You can't stack debuffs very well, since something like Rupture to bypass the protection will get stopped because you can't stack up an assload of Rupture via defensive skills before starting the attacks to trigger it, and that's before even factoring in the passive literally prevents you from doing that with Rupture. Sure you could stack Bleed since the passive makes bleed easier to apply, but the Fox doesn't have nearly enough coins to reliably trigger bleed enough to use that as a win condition. Plus most of all, that sub-200 turns encouragement, in addition to how long reaching loop 5 is anyways means that playing a slower but more cautious style isn't a good idea in the first place. If we had the flexibility to mix and match skills and identities, like how you could freely create keypages and passive lists in LoR, I feel like the Railway would be a lot more enjoyable.
Sure do love how most of the RR2 advice seems to be "Just have meta IDs lol" when i started 2 months ago and have to rely purely on R Ishmael, Spicebush Yi Sang and pure spite

I am writing this comment using an auto translator. But it requires such fucking timings for damage and sinners' skills that I managed to do it only 2 times.

For centipede its worth noting that he gets his charge at turn start and only loses it after losing a clash, so if you bring it to 1 at the start of a turn it won't have the chance to lose its charges and enters its second phase.
