I got a Garmin dezl otr800 mt-s gps a month ago and it worked great but i don't know what i did in the settings that now won't allow me to add and new addresses,For the selection "address" it now says (map data is not available). How do i reverse this? And also when i use one of my previously saved address maps for my destination, the the map vehicle icon is not directly traveling on the planned map route line it's moving next to the planned route line, why is that and most importantly is there a way i can wipe clean the garmin gps and do a refresh to restart like if it was new?

Hello, it's definitely the LGV800. You would know if it was the LGV1000 (because it's huge) and I can tell it's not the LGV700 (because I own one). Knowing what I know of the LGV700 I've been thinking that _perhaps_ I should have bought the LGV800. But then this video makes me wonder whether it'd have been a better choice. Maybe if I bought the LGV800 first I'd be wondering if I shouldn't have bought the LGV700, instead. One thing that I notice here is that Android looks kinda out of place in the 800 and 1000 devices. Mmmh... ok no, it's not quite that. It's as if... as if Android was "splatted" over the original system at the last minute or something. I mean: the User Interface (UI) from the various menus and the graphic screens shows signs of design inconsistency. Two distinct UI's exist in the same device: in some screens you see the one from Android; in others you see the one from whatever-else is there. When I look at the LGV700, instead, all of its menus and graphic screens show the same non-Android UI. They are consistent with one another across the device and give the idea of a more refined product, in my opinion.
But what I'd like to really know is the _exact_ difference between LMT-D and LMT-S variants. I can't find the explanation anywhere and the manual doesn't tell a thing. Argh!
LMT-D variant has traffic receiver, so you don't need to connect the gps navigator to your phone. With LMT-S variant, you must connect the navigator to your phone to receive traffic information (mobile data will be used).
I've been digging info on the subject, since your reply. In my country the Digital Radio signal appears to barely cover 60% of territory. The 2/3/4G infrastructure for smartphones covers the entire territory, instead. So, at least in my case, the LMT-S variant is a better buy than the LMT-D one. Regards.
I've had my Dezl LGV700 for 6 months and have found it frustrating to say the least. The guidance is great on motorways and around towns BUT it consistently tries to send me on unsuitable roads. Even on to roads clearly signed unsuitable for HGVs. All settings are correct and have contacted Garmin several times to complain but getting nowhere. There are only two route options, fastest and straight line. There needs to be a most suitable option. I'm not bothered about the fastest I want the easiest route for the truck, that's why i bought it
I'm with you I have the same problem I drive from Indiana to Iowa and it takes me through side street or country roads. When you can drive straight get off the exit and boom your business is right off the exit. By Google maps at least it takes you easy but have to look out for bridges
Ce gps est vraiment nul, il indique pas l'emplacement des radars, les zones des travaux il imprecis, il reconnait pas certains interdiction de plus de 3.5t, il te fait faire un detour unitile, je suis vraiment deçu et en colere d'avoir acheter cette connerie.

As far as i know the LMT-D you get traffic updates without connecting the sat nav to your phone....
