You must try visiting restaurants that specialize in "thalis". They are usually representative of cuisine from a certain part of India, such as a Gujrati Thali, of Maharastrian Thali. I enjoy the thalis at Golden Star and Chetanas.

Nice to see a Western family visiting India and enjoying themselves. I do hope my countrymen are treating you well Lawrence- for many of these people you are the 1st Black person they are seeing in real life. Keep building up your knowledge of Hindi!! That will help you get into the best spots that only the locals know. Better prices, better quality, and stories that you will never forget. Also, don't be afraid to bargain as much as you need to! Paying the tourist price of 2-3 x the local price for every auto ride and when buying goods can add up and get really expensive!! Hope young Nyh is enjoying the food and eating well also, these are memories he will keep for a lifetime! I hope you will get a chance to catch the England national team's fixtures in the World Cup as well. Interesting group with the US as well. All the best from a Punjabi in Chicago, USA.

Parsis are basically Persians from modern day Iran who came to India 600-700 years ago to escape persecutions by the growing influence of Islam back then.
Their numbers are quickly dwindling because they marry mostly within their community. Some of the richest Indians are Parsis.
So very happy to see someone cover them finally.

Its a city designed by a French Architect, there are no building taller then 3 floors (only very few govt buildings are 5 floors. Very few). But please do visit Chandigarh if you do get a chance. If you do please let me know by replying to this comment and I will give you suggestions for all the amazing places you could see their and have some memorable experiences.
Indian fast food to try.. stuffed prantha (Potato, onion is the best, then you can have cauliflower stuffing, cottage cheese or just onion stuffing). So prantha for breakfast and later for lunch or dinner try keema naan with gravy and try malai tikka chicken and haryali or hara tikka chicken

This is a unique food tour which i have not seen any Indian youtuber neither any foreigner do such a review .BUT....you have not so far tasted the BIRIYANI .... the most popular dish pan India 🇮🇳 every state have their own variety but as a KOLKATA resident for obvious reasons i love the KOLKATA version...the one and only across India which has a 🥔 in it...people will differ as people have been tasting the local version where they've brought up...but without doubt any non vegetarian Indian will suggest you without thinking twice...you should not leave India without tasting it for once...there are very costly Biriyani and also the cheap ones.
In KOLKATA Arsalan BIRIYANI is one of the best...but there are costlier ones as well

Parsis landed in India as they were driven out of Iran, most of them massacred in the name of religion. When Parsis came to Indian state of Gujarat, they asked for land and refuge. Rest is history. Parsis are the most financially sound community of our country. They have an astonishing history of Philanthropy. Mumbai is unimaginable without Parsi contribution.
As a matter of fact, most Hindus were massacred by Muslim invaders, but in the end of his life, Prophet Mohammad was given refuge by India, a Hindu king when his own people were after his and his family's life.
Hindus gave refuge to everyone who came in and asked for it.
It's time the world recognises needless persecutions and massacres that innocent Hindus have faced, just like it recognises the Jew massacre. Because in numbers and years of suffering, Hindus rank way beyond even the Jews to be true.
    Food for thought!
