Thank u for this. I am actually beginning to put a suit tgthr. And am very happy for your video. The Williams company is where I was headed. N you just convinced me the rest of the way. Thank you
+Camille Hashem I believe the first thing that one can notice is that the Matty Cowl, at least in the box, looks HUGE, compared to the Chuck Williams one. But now that I'm at minute 9:43 of the video, seems by your description that the Chuck Williams Cowl looks much more comfortable (for the material it's made up of) than the other one...
Hello. I recently got the Mattel cowl and I love it. Unfortunately, it is way too big on me. I need to wear a beanie to make it wobble less and even then, my eyes don't even align with the eyes on the cowl. I read on the Chuck William etsy page that their cowl is one size fits all due to some padding on the inside. If the Mattel doesn't fit me, do you feel the Chuck Williams one will adjust to me?

Correction here, Will Reed also makes cowls. Got mine last year. It’s about 1/2 the price of Chuck’s. The Matty doesn’t even come close to being correct, it’s only ok, AFTER you repaint the face. Chuck’s cowls are made from original material and specs, taken off of Adams screen worn cowls. For the real collector, Chuck’s are the gold standard!
I know this answer is a year late. Yes, I used to make them. What happened? Well they were 100% hand made. To order. From 3D printing all the way to seeing the fabric. Each one took about 2 weeks to make. It cost me about 150 to make, sold them for double and then people would give me grief, without even holding one in their hands, about me charging so much money. I even had people damage them, and then return them- which I always refunded 100%. At the end of the day, it just wasn’t worth it anymore because I was making a wearable collectible and most people just didn’t get it. So it was far better for me to only make them for friends or for a friend of a friend.

Thanks Camille. Enjoyed your video. I'm very late to the game only learning about Mr. Willaims' cowls and even the matty cowl in the last month or so. I'm not really a cos player but I have wanted to own a Batman cowl since i was a kid in the early 70's.
There is no comparison. The Matty is a toy compared to the Williams cowl. Chuck had access to Adam’s screen worn cowls and are made to that standard, with original material. The Matty face is wrong and needs to be repainted. It is only ok in comparison. Chuck Williams is is close to screen accurate as you will get. Will Reeb also makes cowls and are the next in line as far as accuracy.
I have a Will Reeb also and it has a purple tint. I love it. Paid somewhere around $350. It’s November 2020 and the Matty prices on EvilBay now are between $400 and $500. Ridiculous. It’s just not worth it now.
Don't get me wrong I have two Matty cowl also and they're great but not $400 great. My Reeb cowl is the crown jewel and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Will is a good guy too always a pleasure doing business with him.
Chuck Cowl over 500.00 Matty under 100.00. As nice as the Chuck one is I would rather keep the 400 in my pocket than give it to Chuck. Matty all the way.
There are other options to getting a Chuck Williams since the Matty is now around $300 dollars you'd be better off getting from a good maker which I have and it's every bit as awesome as Chuck's but nowhere near as expensive.

WOW! I THOUGHT the Mattel cowl was a good replica, but after seeing the Chuck Williams cowl it puts the Mattel one to shame.

Thanks for the great review. I just ordered a cowl, cape and Bat-panties from Williams Studio.
I noticed the Compass group logo on your shirt. I too work for them.

This is the other maker of cowls that I mentioned in my video

Mucho vídeo para unas máscaras simples.
Hey weren't you making a batgirl cowl a while back with a shop on etsy what happened?

You said you made your costumes from the Williams patterns. Where did you get your Batman fabrics at?

Went to the site that Chuck Willaims sells his stuff on. looks like he is no longer making cowls. Is this true?
Dean M He's on vacation. Contact him through the Etsy page and he will take your order.

I have a reeb cowl and it's fantastic and I didn't pay $600 for it.

@@Lcoch2482 He sure is. I love my Reeb cowl. I assume you are on the 66 message board too?
Scott Bayles made the paint mod on youtube
Great video! Thanks for making it!!! But as you say at the end. If there not next to each other you wouldn't notice a difference.
You are welcome.
Camille, when you are Batman do you fight crime at all? Do you have a batMobile?
A guy has a Batman for JESUS thing! .??
I saw one of those in that box there and I liked it but it wasn’t really exactly like the tv one.

Great video.

You deserve more subs
Camille improved that thing! The other one is better.
*Bats don't have a beak*

I have two Matty cowls. They are cool.
Try getting one for under a $100 now lol
Twistedwolf2000 I just checked the prices on the Matty Cowl. Wow! They are not worth the price I'm seeing which is like 250-300 dollars. Ouch.
yea the price shot through the roof after Adam died :(
