This video brought an old memory of mine (the laughing parts to be precise), when my friend and I used to duel. I remember that he had a singe copy of mirror force, wich was the most threatning trap in his deck. Since we didn't use sleeves at the time, IF your card was damaged, it was very easy to memorize. TLDR, oh boy did I remember that mirror force. Every time he'd set it, we'd cry in laughter about it. Him trying to convice me every damn time that it's not what I think it is was just peak comedy. Tho true fun had begun when I started naming 40% of his set cards (monsters/backrow), before he could even play them. I miss those times man.
I love the ancient rivalry between Dark Scorpion Gorg the Strong and Nin Ken Dog. That's lore that only buying the Legendary Collection 25th Anniversary Box can reveal! Great duels!

Awesome duel and video! Couple things on the ruling for Morphing Jar 2. Alec was supposed to mill cards until he milled 2 monsters (He only milled a spell and 1 monster) and then special summon either of them if level 4 or lower. Also since flip effects activate before a monster dies. Paul should've have shuffled in his Morphing Jar and milled as well, Morphing Jar doesn't actually get destroyed.
the monster thing is right, but jar would have been destroyed (I remember this from that one deck in GX spirit caller, don't know if rules have been edited)
To explain why Jar is destroyed, it's because the game state recognizes that it is "marked to go to the GY", thus it cannot be bounced to the hand or deck. Monsters destroyed by battle or non-permanent Spells/Traps that go to GY can be destroyed or banished but never bounced, and this overrides card effects. Else you would never be able to deck out (which is why Fiber Jar was banned in the first place). This is along the same veins of why you can't revive a Nomi monster when a card is "ignoring summoning conditions", because the game state doesn't allow you to summon nomi monster unless properly summoned first, which supersedes card effects.
In reference to Terrorking Salmon: the roe are actually the eggs of the fish, not the fish itself. So depending on how you look at it, it's either more or less macabre than you initially thought.
I love this set. LOB was my 1st booster pack that was given to me, and i still remember pulling Tri-Horned Dragon Secret Rare, my 1st ever Secret Rare. Opened my 1st LOB 25th Anniversary edition, and pulled the same Tri-Horned Dragon i did back in 2005. Nothing but happiness
I’m just building my old deck from High school and then adding more cards I didn’t know about because I’ll be honest, after a certain set I stopped collecting cards.
I bought one of these, and what's cool is that it gives you enough to make one of those old school cobbled together decks made from the best of what you have, just like the old days. I have the deck I made sitting next to my desk, and it's actually got some decent cards to work with, like Upstart Goblin, Smashing Ground, Kelbek, and Invader Of Darkness. It even gave me one of my old favorites as a kid, Red Archery Girl. I'm very happy with this box. Nice little thing for the old school fans.
The look on Paul's face in game three was priceless. Even yet, the plays of game three were epic. I wonder what yall coulda built had there been twice as many packs opened.
On the booster pack I got Black Skull Dragon and Blue Eyes. Was INSANE!!! I know these versions are not as rare as the first edition, but I will keep these for ever. I’ve never expected something in the boosters. I only paid for an experience of my childhood and it was beautiful.
How can you not think this was a fun era!? I remember running Terrorking Salmon in a deck back in the day, for some reason I made a deck around The Bistro Butcher...I fancy myself a chef!😂 Had no strategy or synergy, just put a lot of food related cards into a deck and hoped for the best. Mystic tomatoes, marshmallon, Hamburger recipe...it was awful but fun! Glad y'all are back!
Tbh, there just wasn't much going on in a turn, not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just Yugioh actually evolved into a card game with a unique identity that's all about intensive plays and fighting tooth and nail for any advantage you can get off your opponent.

Hey, i have an idea its called infinity reborn, where you guys playing your custom build deck but.... • You can only bring fusion monster to your extra deck, but you can only bring 1 poly and 1 super poly in your deck, shuffle it to your deck after activation and draw 1 card • You must bring 3 monster reborn and 3 call of the haunted, as long as call of the haunted remain face up on the field, you can make monster reborn a continuous spell that can use its effect as a quick effect once per turn that cannot be negated, but banish it when it leaves the field, and if you control these two cards, another two of your spell/trap zone cannot be used, also if you activated monster reborn as a continuous spell, negate the effect of call of the haunted. • You can bring 2 HFD

I just like watching these dueling videos you do… It’s fun to watch y’all duel. 😊
Why Didn't Alec Banish His Mad Sword Beast Sooner For His 1900 Atk Earth Rock Monster After He Did, On Paul's Turn, Fire Soldier Would Have Been Weaker. Plus That Trap Paul Destroyed If Activated When The Rock Card Was Out WOuld Force Paul's Weaker Monsters To Attack Him
I honestly feel so bad that you guys spent all that money on the OG boxes, like sealed and everything, just for konami to release the 25th anniversary packs lol But hey, those original boxes made for a much more special series. Keep up the good stuff, you guys are the only yugioh related content worth watching for me
To be honest, the reprint cards don't feel the same. The modern printing makes it less nostalgic. There was a bit of a crudeness to the og cards that people who opened them will recognize immediately. It's a different feeling so at least they got to experience the old cards that long time fans miss so very much. Still, it does hurt the wallet :(
What a great classic Duel from probably the only great version of getting the first six packs as a bundled product that exists in modern day! Seriouusly loved hearing Paul be all like "I don't like Tear Ishizu" then also was like "Here's Zolga and Kelbek!" Lmao Hyporcite~ Nah you would have been a fool not to use the original non-broken forms as they do have decent stats for Lv 4s. Also every time Castle of Dark Illusions flipped over to mess up Paul's life points was easy to relate to as somebody who has OCD and plays Yugioh and used to watch the life points get into those weird fractions. Kazuki my guy you were a bit nuts when you printed those exactly as they were in the manga.
so, not that it matters too much and i know simulators could possibly get rulings wrong, but in edopro, using dimensionhole on a face down monster banished it face down and when it would return to the field, it can't return to the same zone it was banished from and it would also return face down defense.
Ah the good old days of Yugioh where a turn didn't mean you can get up from the table cook an entire meal and come back only to find your opponent is still taking their turn
You guys should get together with The Professor again to discuss the vast difference in product quality and player reception to the respective Yugioh and Magic anniversary products
It's so weird to me that they reprinted these old sets using the modern card formatting. I don't hate it, but it means I can't use these to finish my collection of the old sets, because they don't look right in a binder surrounded by the older cards. And the full booster boxes releasing later this year will be these same packs. Well, it's great to see them being printed either way!
Its funny when I was opening mine I couldn't help but think I hope team aps does a duel using these. I got a secret rare chaos emperor dragon from mine. So this set 10/10 for me.
Honestly my fave of those sets was Spell Ruler, but only because I pulled my first (and thus far only, at least as far as YGO is concerned) secret rare from one. funnily enough, it was Serpent Night Dragon.
Morphing jar 2 picked up tell you pick up same number of monster What that basically means is in game 3 you would of milled tell you milled 2 monster and if any where level 4 or lower you summon it/them You only did 1 monster and 1 spell
Yugi-yoooo! Serpent Night Dragon! That card should of have some support. I forget the card that made you use high ATK tribute monsters for hand tributes? So, ran Serpent and others in my Duel Generation app deck. It was silly fun.
I feel like you could get a few of these and draft with them. Each set of 6 packs can make the draft pack you pass around, each person gets to pick a card and pass the stack to the next person and it continues.
I bought a display of this exclusively for Relinquished in Spell Ruler, and amazingly I pulled it! I also got a secret rare Serpent Night Dragon which was a nice bonus. Unfortunately, I didn't pull Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon or Thousand-Eyes Restrict.
I'm thinking of coming back to Yu-Gi-Oh after 20 years. Leaving mtg for good. How approachable would you say the game is to new players these days? As an outsider it looks as if the meta is if you don't win on turn 1 win, then you turn 2 lose
I got 2 boxes myself, pulled Delinquent Duos, Change of Heart, SR Anniversary Dark Magician & Gaia The Fierce night (so sad i lost my original first edition from my childhood) This was some nostalgic stuff
Man I wish I had someone I know to convince to get in on this old school set with me. The one guy I know who even knows how to play spent way too much time in Master Duel ranked, and he's STILL too salty to touch Yu-Gi-Oh, no matter what I try. Sucks, but at least building the deck was fun.
I haven't played in like... over a decade? But I might actually buy this just for the fun memories. Invasion of Chaos was my favorite set, because Gren Maju. I play Magic more now but Yugioh was what got me into card games and deck building. My first deck was just a bunch of cards my friends didn't mind giving away. My best iteration of my deck was my build centered on getting out Gren Maju Da Eiza and Gravity Bind, with back up Wave-motion Cannons and a Lava Golem (hahaha and a chaos sorceror just cause i had one). I remember that was the set I bought most hoping to pull a second and third Gren Maju but I never did, I ended up having to trade a lot more than they worth to convince my friends to give me two more.
First thing I noticed before anything else, you guys got different boxes compared to the European release - the ones from the release over here are a bit larger/wider and double as storage boxes. Weird seeing the same product in different packaging styles. Nice pulls, though - my box was a complete dud ^^;
I build a not that bad deck out of one single box and it happens to be a Last Countdown, Morping Jar, High Defense Stall Deck. Can't wait to play it against the sealed pool of my friend.
I just got into Yu-Gi-Oh a month ago and I think I’ve built a pretty good Skull servant deck, but if you could recommend any cards to add to help that would be awesome!
also i think you played morphing jar 2 wrong, your supposed to excavate until you get the same number of monsters that you shuffled in but he just excavated 2 cards total and sent them
I think yugioh could solve some of its broken modern mechanics by simplifying/spreading effects. Every monster has a unique effect and that simply shouldn't be the case. More common cards should have common effects and rare cards should have rare effects. So example, let's say a card allows to draw once extra card this turn as a flip. Boom, simple and useful but isn't game breaking.
Please mention the songs you used because I recognize the song from your openings as the loading music used in Jojo's Bizarre adventure Eyes of heaven before getting to the battle

If they had the playable versions of the god cards, I would be intrested in getting it.

Paul in game 3 why were you not putting your defense monster into attack, and chipping away at his life points?

I got 2 boxes myself, pulled Delinquent Duos, Change of Heart, SR Anniversary Dark Magician & Gaia The Fierce night (so sad i lost my original first edition from my childhood) This was some nostalgic stuff
I love this collection set. Me and my friends are getting back into yugioh because of this. We are doing old school duels soon can't wait.
I swear Paul's "hmmmmmm"s get a smile on my face every time! :D
Dark Crisis easily my favourite set, I have loved Archfiends since way back when the pack was first released.
These original packs were my shizz growing up. I’m low key thinking about yugioh again. Although, haven’t played the game in almost 20 years
I was on Alec's side with putting granadora on top. Completely thrown by the rush recklessly. Good game.
I quit Mondern Yu-Gi-Oh but i like to watch this type of Yu-Gi-Oh content. Nice
Love the duel but just a pro tip. You can't use stop defence to target facedowns.
First thing I noticed before anything else, you guys got different boxes compared to the European release - the ones from the release over here are a bit larger/wider and double as storage boxes. Weird seeing the same product in different packaging styles. Nice pulls, though - my box was a complete dud ^^;
Esses vídeos são relíquias, gosto muito.
Morphing jar 2 should go until the same number if monsters returned are revealed; alec shouldve kept going until he found a second monster
Alec and Tri-Horned Dragon are as strongly connected as Yugi Muto/Yami Yugi with Dark Magician.
Also guardian of the throne room used to have red rockets on its back but in this reprint they are Green!
I like how u magnefied the cards, wish other duel videos did that! I skip off them if I can't c wut there playing
Tri Horned Dragon is a pretty cool duel spirit to have following you around
where do you get the playmat from? Wouldnt mind having one for myself
I build a not that bad deck out of one single box and it happens to be a Last Countdown, Morping Jar, High Defense Stall Deck. Can't wait to play it against the sealed pool of my friend.
I remember getting the original legendary collection for Christmas as a kid, the one that was the binder.
Woah, I thought Castle of Dark Illusions was a 5 star too 😮. It must be a… Mandela Effect Monster 😏.
Its been a while for a video!! Glad ur back
"Peak Yugioh is back!"
"Oh, so like 2009-2010 er- oh..."
Yaaaaas! Your new set staging is fantastic! Great corner setup with those framed cards! *chef's kiss*
I just got into Yu-Gi-Oh a month ago and I think I’ve built a pretty good Skull servant deck, but if you could recommend any cards to add to help that would be awesome!
Yeah Alec pulling his 3rd secret of Tri-Horn was great to see! the 2001 vs 2022 packs rare hunters now this?
There should be a Tri-Horned Ultimate Dragon
Yeah! Konami, where's our Tri-Horned Dragon support?!
Dimensionhole banishes its target face-down if the target is face-down on the field and returns it in the same position. Tested on Master Duel
also i think you played morphing jar 2 wrong, your supposed to excavate until you get the same number of monsters that you shuffled in but he just excavated 2 cards total and sent them
Legacy of Darkness was fantastic. I like Magicians Force too but only for like 4 cards.
The Invasion of Chaos is my favorite. Pulled a Chaos Emperor Dragon in my first box.
Great duels. It was fun to watch
Are those reprint booster cards somehow marked as reprints?
Please mention the songs you used because I recognize the song from your openings as the loading music used in Jojo's Bizarre adventure Eyes of heaven before getting to the battle
