I wish I would’ve seen this video a couple years ago to know that a magnet one would work on that style fridge. The other style you mentioned never sealed well. I’ll be getting the magnet one now 👍
My initial question when clicking on this video was what you mentioned about the gasket colors at 1:45. I have noticed that in many restorations. My question is, can the gaskets be painted? Or would that cause them to harden? Such a minor, but major detail I hyper fixate on, but I have been stumped on that. My GE LH-121 (like you show in this video) has original gaskets and I don’t want gray when I replace.
Have you ever experiment with RIT synthetic for dyeing the seals? The color might not be perfect since they are originally grey but still worth a shot.
I’m restoring a Kelvinator CD-7-R refrigerator. Serial # 4779441 and need a door gasket. I believe the original part #1152006. Wondering if you have anything that would work?
About to replace the gasket on mine! Thanks! Do you sell parts for fridges? My lazy Susan fridge is missing the door shelves 😢 I’m about to try and figure out how to make some replacement shelves I need them so bad! 😅
The single fridge in this video is a 1956 model and does not have the proper shelving. The proper shelving for this fridge is copper colored aluminum the shelves in the fridge in this video are from the 1957 version which has a pink interior. The 2 door fridge you say was made the year before was not made in 1956 it is from 1954.

I Havnt found a solution yet
something like a vinyl spray colour might work.
We have ‘56 GE just like this, but the freezer door latch is broken. Any advice on how to fix it?
Take the door apart and change the spring inside.
