    I also have same doubt few others are having. Since the hypothesis is fever-yes and fever-no, then we should calculate the probability of fever or no fever, given the evidence i.e. covid and flu. It makes no sense to me to calculate conditional probability for no evidence i.e. no covid or no flu. There may be gap in my understanding though.

      true , i also think in both the cases of fever yes and fever no, covid and flu is always yes. so it must be (covid, flu yes/fever no) and (covid, flu yes/fever yes)

      We are calculating conditional probability for No-fever and fever, given Flu and Covid

      @@yeagerrr1178 the above statement is correct , as question says the person have flu and covid so we consider them "YES" for rest, only fever can be considered yes/no.

    sir there is a mistake. The Conditional probability in fever no case should be 1/3 (Covid yes / fever no) and also 1/3 for(Flu yes / Fever No).

    2:54 - The actual questions says Bag 2 contain 3 Red and 4 Black balls, but in the solution you mentioned "4" Red and "3" Black.

    When it is given that we need to calculate person(flu,covid), then as you say we need to determine whether a person has fever if he has flu and cold. But in negative probability, you have taken flu no case and covid no case. I didnt get why you did so ?

    in bayes theorem example, red ball are 3 and black ball are 4 in bag 2 given in question. but in solution, you took 4 red and 3 black ball*

    Sir, here you have assumed flu and covid as independent sets but its not true as P(flu and covid) !=P(flu) * p(covid). Due to this assumption answer is wrong

    understood the concept BUT..........Flu YES|Fever NO: probability has to be 1/3... you have mentioned it incorrectly as 2/3

      how please explain. why are u considering it as "Flu YES|Fever NO" (why is flu yes in this case by default). shouldn't u consider them based on the column value. so don't u have to consider it as "Flu NO|Fever NO"?

      ​​@@xoxo4385based on the hypothesis given it is flu yes. So it makes no sense to calculate flu = no | fever = no. Its actually an mistake over here. We need to calculate flu = yes | fever = yes.
      Same goes for covid. Also in case of covid he calculated covid = no | fever = no while we are supposed to find out the class based on covid = yes. So it should covid = yes | fever = no.
      In a nutshell, we only need to calculate the conditioal probabilities of the different output classes based on same hypothesis. Then compare those and... higher one wins

    sir a doubt here fever yes ,no 2 conditions are taken for two different condition where flu/covid is yes for yes case and no for no case but condition that the person has flu and covid that means for both fever yes and no condition flu/covid is yes .... can u please clarify this
