Your garden is coming along beautifully! I've been gardening for over 15 years in Maine. I know all about that pressure to get plants started or planted in the ground, or protected from frost all too well. My husband and I have added over 20 fruit trees, and dozens of blueberry bushes, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, honeyberries, grapes, (the list goes on and on!) to our property in the last 5 years. Once you start, you just can't stop! lol
Adding any kind of poop back in the soil is saving the soil. This isn't even a question of rules. It's nature. Hannah, for someone who hasn't slept in a year, you look great! Happy Birthday Woody! And Cosmo, I love your silliness:)
So buying and using cow poo is fine? Incidently thats exactly the regenerative farming model. We need ruminants pooping on our soil to keep it healthy and reduce dependance on fossil fuel fertilisers.
Love your chat at the end! I always enjoy how open and honest you are about everything. Just listening to you share your thoughts it makes life feel so much more free, less stressful, less pressure! Keep sharing because you are inspiring so many. Also, I don’t see a problem in what you use. You’re getting it from a known source and by utilizing that source you will have healthier soil and your fruits and veggies will be loaded with even more nutrition! Cant wait to see the garden progress
LOVE watching your garden develop, it’s so beautiful!!! You have the prettiest yard! When you were describing your trip to the garden shop, that is me exactly!! I love the chaos of buying and planting whatever…well within reason. In my 5 years of active gardening, it has never done me wrong. So interesting hearing about worm castings, I am not vegan but I never even thought about it not being vegan! Good luck with the night weaning, you have done your time! I will say a prayer for you. ❤
Loved this video so much and Hannah you look so lovely in yellow! Gardening is such a peaceful activity for me and I love doing it alone but also including my toddler ❤ Happy Spring !
I think the purpose of street sweeping is to it reduces the dirt and garbage that goes into storm sewers thereby enhancing the quality of storm water that undergoes a treatment process.
I really appreciate you sharing your perspective on using worm castings. I tend to agree with you, though I don’t have a garden myself, so I haven’t looked into it myself.
Garden is looking great. Glad you’re having fun with it. The drip system makes so much sense. Starting veggies and flowers from seed is a game changer and you will have even more success! It’s a lot for a mom with young children but it’s very therapeutic and even better, cheap. Some seeds will fail but it’s less devastating than a $5 purchased start. Just an idea for future you 🙂
Hannah! I love that you use worm castings. I have been vegan for 5 years now and I’ve recently started working at smaller scale organic vegetable farms. I don’t think people realize how many animal byproducts are used to fertilize organic veggies. I’ve used bloodmeal, fishmeal, and probably more. Now, some farms fertilize with plant pellets (like alfalfa pellets at the farm I’m at now), but there are many amazing farms that are using animal byproducts to fertilize. This doesn’t mean they’re destroying the planet, and I don’t think you’re not vegan if you eat these foods, just thought I would let you all know! It’s so important to get closer to where your food comes from and understand that what goes into growing your food. If you are truly concerned about the food you eat having taken up nutrients from animal products, visit local farms and ask them about their methods and why they use certain products! (That’s for everyone reading 😊)
I’ve been vegan for 9 years, and I’ve never thought of worm castings being inconsistent with veganism. I have my own worms, and when anyone asks if I have pets, I say “yes, my worms.” I’m not sure whether or how worms experience suffering or mistreatment, but they are fed, kept in a cool dark place in my basement where they can’t get scorched by the sun or harmed by other critters, and live out their lives to the fullest because I never kill them or harm them in any way. As far as I know, I don’t think a worm would realize it’s living in a box and consider that a bad thing either. None of the torture, pain, suffering, and death that occurs in the meat and dairy industries happens to my worms, so, to me, this is totally ok within a vegan lifestyle.
Girl please use sunscreen first. Sunscreen first then makeup. Asian sunscreens layer amazingly under makeup. I beg you to incorporate an SPF. You do look pretty though 🙂.

Yay! I have been stalking youtube waiting for a new video lol
I feel like you’re giving worms a great life in that soil. It’s what they love! As a vegan i never even thought about the worms. Were not perfect

Hello! Can you please give me the link to your metal garden beds? Thanks you!
I think they are Vego brand beds
Hannah what Matcha do you get? I never know what Matcha to get.🌝
Who needs a gym when you have a garden 🪴💪🏻
“Be your kind of vegan” love this! I think it’s actually really unhealthy to strive for perfection. It’s all about doing the best that YOU can do.

You can’t be vegan without animal poop. You need their contribution to the circle of life. It is what it is
