I had to take my driving test 4 times before I got my license, after the 3rd time I got stressed out and gave up and cried and never wanted to drive again. I later got into a car accident that month with my ex boyfriend that couldn’t drive and it gave major anxiety whenever I got in a car with someone. In April of last year my temps expired so I went and retook the permit test and passed with a 97% I bought my own car and drove around with my mom for a good two weeks before I decided to book my next test. When it came to the date where I had to take my test for the fourth time I was extremely panicked and nervous like anyone is on their test day. I did completely fine until it was time to make a left turn into the BMV and I turned at the wrong time into traffic. I failed and I was super stressed out but I re booked my next test date and I took it and passed with an almost perfect score and I was shaking when I found out I ran into the BMV and I was jumping up and down and I finally got it. Don’t be discouraged, people always have worse situations you’ll get it!
I’m proud of you Kamri! I’m so sorry for all the trouble you went through, especially having to take the test twice (so stupid and unfair) and having to wait at the dmv for over 5 hours ON YOUR BIRTHDAY. Anyway I hope you get your license ASAP because you definitely deserve it! I’ll be taking my drivers test soon and I hope I do as good as you and am as confident💓💓

I was definetly not as calm as you though! I litterally started bawling my eyes out hitting the wheel when i failed because i ran over a dang pothole and didnt come to a full stop. And my dad was just dyinggg of laughter the whole car ride home but it really is the perfect way to set a rough start to your birth day
It is so cool seeing how different driving tests are in different states. I am from California and I took my driver's test last March. Our schools don't have driver's training, we have to do everything online and by ourselves. So, when we take the test, we are driving all throughout the town. We aren't taught to parallel park nor do we have to parallel park on the test. But we do have to back up in a straight line along the curb without hitting the curb or getting any further away from the curb. So fun to see the differences of states!
I realized the "by yourself" thing was probably confusing. We don't have to to the training by ourselves we just have to schedule everything by ourselves and choose which place we want to go to. Ex. where I'm from we have Love's, DriversEd.Com etc. Also, if we even tap a curb when parking or in the backup part, it is an automatic fail. :(
Now that I've finished watching the video lol, I think it's crazy that they made you pass the test twice and now you still can't get it. Best of luck! You seem to be a really great driver!

My dmv (not in the US) works on appointments only so I turn up at my appointment time and never have to wait more than 2 minutes. I couldn't imagine waiting 5 hours!!!!! I hope you get your licence soon!

anna mendez most licenses start out like that, like for me in Minnesota, I get my license at 16 and for the first six months I can only drive one passenger and after six months I can drive more than one at a time, and the curfew hours will change

Canada’s system is so different! I take a written test to get my L, (learner) and I have to drive with a parent! I have my L for 1 year. Then I take a driving test to get my N, (new driver) which I have for 2 years! And then I take another test to get my regular license.
Sasha that seems to be pretty similar to America except our N equivalent (restricted license) automatically becomes a full license when we turn 18. At least in my state
where do you live in Canada because in Ontario our system is G1 (beginners) at 16 have it for a year or 8 months if you take drives ed, then you can take your g2 (restricted) you have that for a year then you can take your G (full licence) so basically you can have your full licence by the time you are 18.
Where I live in Australia, we can sit a knowledge test at 16 (tests you on road rules), then we can drive with a fully licensed adult for a year. While on our "Learners/ Ls" you have to clock up 120hrs of driving experience. After you've had your Ls for a year AND reached your hours, you can upgrade to provisional 1 (P1) license through a practical driving test. After a year on P1, you move to P2 which you have for another 2 years. When I went between P1 and P2, I had to sit a hazard perception test where you had to watch a video and click to stop a car or to overtake, but they changed the system so you take it before getting your P1 licence. It's a long system over here!
In Sweden you can get a learners permit at 16, then you have to take two courses, one theory and one practical driving on a slippery surface, at 18 you can take your full license and start driving on your own.
Congrats Kamri!! My test was a lot different than yours! I couldn’t tap the curve and had to physically turn my body when backing up and lot of things like that. But super happy for you!
I had to pass my test twice too. I passed the first time but I waited too long to do the paperwork (apparently there was a time limit of a few months) so I had to do the whole thing again, starting from the written test! So annoying lol but I got it in the end, patience!

I took like a drivers test in drivers ed probably easier than the one you take at the dmv but my teacher gave me a blue slip that says when I get my license I don’t have to take the driving portion. Thank goodness so I just walked in and got my license 😂😂❤️
Me getting my license wasn't as stressful as yours, but Everytime I would go to take it, it would be raining really hard and storming, but you can't take it in bad weather. It happen for weeks because the days it was nice out they were either closed or we were busy😂 I was fed up. Then when I went to take my test we went at the last minute and I was told I was the last one they could take.so I got I'm just in time 😂💖
Here in Germany it's mandatory to learn on manual. You also have to do a minimum of 16 driving lessons and 14 theory lessons with a certified driving school before you can take the test. Costs around 2,000$
I wasn’t able to get my permit until 3 months after I was supposed to due to paperwork issues, the system shutting down, and not having what I needed. It was definitely stressful so I feel you!

I couldn’t take my test because they implemented a new paper you needed to have AFTER I STARTED DRIVERS ED! So I didn’t know about it :( So I found a private driver’s test place, paid like $200 for a test, went back to the DMV 2 days later (with the new paper) and went to the lady like HEY I’M BACK
BROOKLYNN WOODARD My school has driver’s ed, it’s only $25 unless you take it in the summer. You can’t take it until you’re 15 though. You have to have your permit.
I took my drivers test and passed several years ago now. I remember it took 12 times for the DMV to get the paperwork to process. Each time different employees would refuse to accept it cause they made up that I didn’t have all the paper when I had everything in a folder ready to go. Then on the last attempt I brought the same amount of paperwork and the man finally passed it🙄
Here in Texas you have to take driver's ed before getting your license (if you aren't 18) Then one you get your permit you have to do 30 hours of driving with an adult. You also have to have your permit for 6 months. Then you actually take you driver's test, but we have restrictions and the restrictions are lifted once you are 18.
Congrats on passing your test! twice! When I went to get mine my step-mom came with me. (My mom passed away when I was 11) The DMV made me call my dad down there to give the okay to give me my licence! He was at work and barely made it before they closed for the day! He did get there, but it was a nail biter to the end! 😆 Congrats again!

Well my dmv in OHIO it’s walk ins and appointments I did a walk in I waited about 20 minutes and took my test.

I took like a drivers test in drivers ed probably easier than the one you take at the dmv but my teacher gave me a blue slip that says when I get my license I don’t have to take the driving portion. Thank goodness so I just walked in and got my license 😂😂❤️

Me getting my license wasn't as stressful as yours, but Everytime I would go to take it, it would be raining really hard and storming, but you can't take it in bad weather. It happen for weeks because the days it was nice out they were either closed or we were busy😂 I was fed up. Then when I went to take my test we went at the last minute and I was told I was the last one they could take.so I got I'm just in time 😂💖

Here in Germany it's mandatory to learn on manual. You also have to do a minimum of 16 driving lessons and 14 theory lessons with a certified driving school before you can take the test. Costs around 2,000$

I wasn’t able to get my permit until 3 months after I was supposed to due to paperwork issues, the system shutting down, and not having what I needed. It was definitely stressful so I feel you!
What is up with Texas, I’m in MA and you have to turn your head when parallel parking, can’t tap the curb and HOW can you pass without parallel parking that’s the main thing😱 this is crazy

The first thing I had to do was parallel park and if I failed parallel parking I was done and failed
Camilla DaRocha I live in Ohio and just took my test about a month ago. We don’t have to do parallel parking, we do maneuverability. But I also don’t understand how you can just not do it. Like I wish I could’ve done that!

Well in my driver's test (Germany) I had to parallel park uphill and if you would refuse to any given tasks you would fail immediately!

I couldn’t take my test because they implemented a new paper you needed to have AFTER I STARTED DRIVERS ED! So I didn’t know about it :( So I found a private driver’s test place, paid like $200 for a test, went back to the DMV 2 days later (with the new paper) and went to the lady like HEY I’M BACK

It used to be a lot less strict and they also taught driving at school

BROOKLYNN WOODARD My school has driver’s ed, it’s only $25 unless you take it in the summer. You can’t take it until you’re 15 though. You have to have your permit.
Getting your driver’s license in Texas is a challenging and annoying process. I feel you.

I took my drivers test and passed several years ago now. I remember it took 12 times for the DMV to get the paperwork to process. Each time different employees would refuse to accept it cause they made up that I didn’t have all the paper when I had everything in a folder ready to go. Then on the last attempt I brought the same amount of paperwork and the man finally passed it🙄
Here in Texas you have to take driver's ed before getting your license (if you aren't 18) Then one you get your permit you have to do 30 hours of driving with an adult. You also have to have your permit for 6 months. Then you actually take you driver's test, but we have restrictions and the restrictions are lifted once you are 18.

Congrats on passing your test! twice! When I went to get mine my step-mom came with me. (My mom passed away when I was 11) The DMV made me call my dad down there to give the okay to give me my licence! He was at work and barely made it before they closed for the day! He did get there, but it was a nail biter to the end! 😆 Congrats again!
