How to install Harris bipod stud on Blaser R8 rifle

/ roestalker I usually don't use bipods apart from zeroing, but had a Harris 9-13" swiveling model gathering dust, so decided to start using it again.
The problem with Blaser rifles is they don't come with standard bipod studs and I had to mount an adapter in order to use a bipod. The adapter is a Blaser component that can be sourced from your local Blaser dealer. The assembly is quite straightforward as shown on the video.

Zykle nie używam dwójnogów, z wyjątkiem strzelnicy, ale miałem dwójnóg Harrisa kurzący się na półce i postanowiłem zacząć go używać ponownie. Problem z Blaserem jest taki, że niestety nie ma standardowych bączków i nie da się zamontować do niego dwójnogów Harrisa bez montażu specjalnego adaptera.
Adapter jest dostępny u dealerów Blasera. Montaż jest prosty, tak jak pokazano na filmie.

I'm surprised the R8 stock doesn't come with swivel studs already. I'm glad my Tikka came with them, I would probably screw up doing them myself.
Blaser has a swivel in a different place (end of the forend). They dont do typical studs. They do sell their own proprietary mounting system and Spartan bipods and modification is quite easy, but as anything Blaser, it's a lot of money. I just wanted to use an old Harris that was gathering dust.

Zamierzam zrobić dokładnie tak samo w moim Blaserze, może Kolega podpowiedzieć gdzie nabył taka śrubę pod bączek? Znajduje tylko z gwintem do drewna, mam problem ze znalezieniem z gwintem do tworzywa.

Hi Mr Roestalker. Was very interested in your reloading videos I have a R8 black addition in 30 06 nightforce scope and playing with different loads combinations bullet manufacturers etc. What did you find to be the best grouped powder/ load

+Trevor Smith My R8 is. 308 you can find two different videos showing my favorite loads. I also reload for. 30-06 combo gun and use the same bullet 180gr Hornady RN over N160 powder.
What bipod stud is this? And where did you get it? Great video

RoeStalker: I looked at every site I cold find with no luck. I found a substitute that has a 7/8" stud. Think it will work? I hate to ask this but how long was yours?
+anthony Landino I don't think you can find it online. Blaser sells their proprietary magnetic bipod system so don't advertise it. Certainly you can buy these from Blaser dealers in the UK if you ask for it. I am away so can't measure it for you at the moment sorry
Im going nut, my bipod doesn't lock when open and it folds backs forward when I aim upward causing the barrel to drop. It's very hard to use, any solution???
Hello. Is youres r8 stock made for mach barrel? It seems there is some free space between barrel and stock. Lile youre vids. I also have blaser r8. Mine is standart model with wooden stock in 30 06 cal and zeiss victory ht on it + meopta 1-4 for drivens.

That crossed my mind as well, but I was told it is not necessary. If it comes loose will do. I dont think I will be using it that much anyway :-)
I have done a lot of tec diving to 100mts and we don't do "If it comes loose I will fix it"

Not that I really need this for hunting, but it is convenient at the range and shooting prone longer distance

mam pytanko po co ci jest ten dwujnug
Trochę fanaberia, ale przydaje się na strzelnicy. Szczególnie jak się chce postrzelać leżąc na większe odległości.
