Manoj Sharma, ZEISS' Head of Supply Chain & Business Processes, leads sustainable community work in India, driven by a desire to bridge inequalities and make the best use of natural resources.
Community Work: ZEISS India's Focus
Hailing from rural India, Sharma witnessed the pressing need for sustainable solutions, motivating him to spearhead ZEISS's sustainability efforts. Teaming up with Dhaval Rhadia, ZEISS India's CFO, they repurposed wooden crates into benches for schools across Bengaluru, reducing the company's environmental footprint. Meanwhile, a garden at the office produces more than 1,200 kg of fresh produce for the employees every month.
