That is a beautiful painting of our Blessed Mother, Mary. I never thought I would see anyone paint her on the side of a train car. Simply beautiful. Some people that do graffidi are tallented.
You are so welcome! Some people like graffiti and some don't, but one thing is for sure some of these people have a great talent. I couldn't draw 1/10 as good as that on paper much less a 15 foot tall side of a boxcar with spray paint!
It's not quite new. They started rebuilding the 9-40C fleet into an AC44C6M and now they're rebuilding the 9-40CW's as well. I heard it costs NS about half the price to rebuild them as opposed to buying new ones.
That wide curve by the CSX tracks would be the perfect place to sit back and relax in a comfy lawn chair in the shade with a gallon or 2 of lemonade and "watch 'em roll!" And the best thing about those NS "horsies", they wont fail the drug test at Churchill Downs!
@@WideWorldofTrains How ironic! Anthony Spilotro was “Ant” So if you ever saw “Casino” that was based on Tony Spilotro and Frank Cullotta. My dad and a few relatives were “associates” of theirs.

This video was a good show. Thank you for recording a slow train. I was able to read the numbers on most of the freight cars of the second train. It was a great catch.

The dog was barking at the cat to give him a lesson, "Never cross the tracks when a train is coming." And the graffiti of the Virgin Mary was well done.
Ohhhh!, Wowwwww!, NS 4449 sure looked pretty, but isnt that number reserved for a certain steam locomotive way out west?? Someone did a good job painting the Virgin Mary, that took a lot of time and effort. @@markschroeder2578 from paul smith, i watched a video recently about a BNSF employee special with both the steam 4449, and the BNSF diesel 4449. And on NS 310, there was a boxcar with "CIC" reporting marks, thats the Cedar Rapids & Iowa City, it used to be an interurban turned into a freight hauler, and eventually became dieselized, just like a lot of interurbans did.

@@billmorris2613 I figured you knew what it was but by a different name. I hear it all the time over the years on the radio, just learned by hearing it so much
Wide World of Trains Except for the CN and maybe CP, and a few other smaller railroads, most of us use the GCOR, (General Code of Operating Rules). It’s about 2 inches thick. There are several ways to convey the needed information to the train crews. Each RR can chose the way they prefer to convey the information to their crews. The other rule books are pretty much the same. They may be smaller and just contain the rules used by.that railroad.
