This is the complete trailer of Alice from an early stage of development, all the moments that are currently available on the network are collected, but new frames became available only recently.

It's such a pity so many things got cut. There were many elements of gameplay that made it more diverse. Swimming. Stealth and action scenes in London sequences. The fire chain whip thingy.
0:53 level is looking dope.
1:18 the hair is looking awesome in this animation, better than the final result.
But I'm glad they changed the dodging element to switching to butterflies. Fits the story better. *^^*
In the artbook, they explained that some gameplay elements (like swimming) were not that fun once implemented, therefore were removed.
@@KaaptnIglo I suppose. I mean, it looks cool when you watch a piece of gameplay like this, but at the same time, hey I complain about the water level in AMA myself every. darn. time, haha. So it's understandable

i love the butterflies also! since Alice is changing and butterflies mean change its a great touch!
Some of the stages that were removed looked so good and interesting. Too bad they didn't make it to the final game.
Agreed, I have played through 2 like 6-7 times now and looking at these levels, I wish it was DLC or something do we can play them. @AmericanMcGeeOfficial is these levels available an playable? Can I buy a copy so I can play :)

American mcgee himself said that this trailer is mostly just for EA to accept their game.

It would definitely have been nice to see more of London. Personally I don't see a lot of good swimming mechanics in games so I don't really regret that it got removed. I'm a little concerned about Asylum if it ever gets released though, because where could they really go with the story? It feels like the story is pretty definitively over at this point.

American Mcgee has done tons of streams about it. Asylum would be a prequel to the first game, exploring Alice's initial decent into madness

Asylum in fact, is a prequel explaining what happened in between AM Alice and Madness Returns. Alice's experience in the Asylum she was and how this deteriorated wonderland and her mind passing throught stages of her trauma

Hopefully by 2021 Alice Asylum will be be just as good as the first two games

Tbh I don't like it that much, but there's much more use of imagination in this version and everything is much more colorful. What bothers me are the animations and the alice model itself.

I feel like this trailer is what Mc Gee wanted AMR to be but EA made them change the game...
So much got cut. I hope someone takes all the cut content and mechanics, fixes them up, and makes a mod that re-adds them to the game.
This process just started being done for old games back in the N64 era. So I guess we'll never see it happen for Alice until another 20 years. And whenever we get our hands on leaked cut game files.
Wait, this video was published like 2 years ago, yet Alice: Madness Returns was released like 8 years ago if I remember correctly and it was a sequel to American McGees Alice. What's going on?

@@ayham2819 There is. First game is called "American McGee's Alice" , the sequel is called "Alice: Madness Returns".
This looks like a footage from early beta of the sequel, yet it is called difficulty, like the original title before they've changed it to Madness Returns, even thothis video was published about 5 years after release of the final version of the sequel
This looks so cool :O I wish we got to see more of these in the game as well.

there it so much cooler content in this beta that would've made the game even more greater than it is! I'm glad the final combat system from the beta didn't stick to the final version, i love the A:MR combat system. I wish that the Hatter's Domain looked more like the first game's like in the beta and honestly Alice looks a lot better in the beta than in the final game, her hair looks like hair and flows quit well and not as weird as it does in the final version

Many, many things were cut from the released version. No wonder why is was not as good as Alice 1.

Bs, alice madness returns even with its flaws and cut content is far superior both gameplay and aesthetic wise, case in point that one battle vs the jabberwock in AMA or the wonky movement of Alice. That was a mess. Tho ill give you there was more diversity enemy wise in AMA, but overall I enjoyed AMR way more, better story and a more satisfying gameplay(too easy unfortunely)
@@bamshablam5977 Nah, AMA is a masterpiece while AMR is simply a great game. This is coming from someone with no nostalgia for either title, it's just that after playing them back to back it's clear as day. I'd have to disagree almost entirely when it comes to gameplay and aesthetics. AMR's first Wonderland level was the only one where I was really fascinated, after that a lot of the levels felt muted and had a similar steampunk type of aesthetic. These levels also dragged on quite a bit, making it kind of a hassle to sit down and play at times when certain levels just sort of felt like more of the same. With AMA, they made sure that each following level had more of a different aesthetic or at least had some unique draw to it that kept you interested in playing. Gameplay wise, AMA wins it for me again. Combat is far more satisfying, with Alice being granted somewhat of an overpowered arsenal. Take the vorpal blade for example, it can be used to slash at enemies but, as cheshire hints to you, that's an ineffiecient way of using it. If you instead throw the blade at enemies, it will kill an enemy with only a hit or two (depending on your difficulty and how far into the game you are). That alone makes it fun to run around wonderland destroying everything in your sight, but the game ends up giving you a few more overpowered weapons which really adds to the experience. Contrast that with AMR, where they instead go with a more traditional action game combat system. If it were as quickly paced as AMA's, I would enjoy it more, but sadly it is sort of sluggish. The vorpal blade alone went from a weapon that could kill efficiently even from ranged distances to one that can only be used to slowly slash enemies within close-range. Sure, you get more weapons as the game progresses, but you aren't the same powerhouse you were in the previous game. With AMR's bigger focus on combat, it makes the game more of a slog to get through. I will give you that AMR does do a better job of diving into the story/lore, which is what will be the biggest drive for most people to actually beat it. Regardless tho, they're both amazing games that we definitely need more of in these modern days of gaming

The alice model in the final version is way better than this and the animations in this version are just really stiff and there isn't really any flow or appeal to it except for the fun weapons and really nice textures. I don't like that they cut so much content in the final game but i still prefer it.

Jumping looks kinda odd and the running n stuff I know it’s a beta.. but I do hope everything becomes more smooth and at least a change in some designs since they are taking a lot from the first. Of course they change it some what but yknow hahah I am just worried I guess XD I really loved madness returns

Too bad they removed the real world stages , they look like they were a mix of stealth gameplay that would have been fun to do in-between the wonderland stages.
Eletronic arts i will hate you forever for holding this and many other franchises from reaching their true potencial.

Sinceramente pienso que esta muy cool la idea de hacer una continuacuon a la historia de Alice Madness Returns, pero si van a sacar algo nuevo creo que deberían hacerlo mejor que lo anterior. Me reciero a que deberian mejorar los graficos principalmente.Alice MR mejoró mucho los graficos de A. Mcgee's Alice y deberían de hacer lo mismo esta vez.
En el teaser logro ver que cambian las formas de atacar, como los disparos, la espada vorpal y al esquivar.
En fin, solo es mi opinión.

Pero para serles franco, me gusta más Alice Madness Returns que American McGee's Alice. Es el mismo creador American McGee; AMR es mucho más superior que AMA. No lo creen? Ahora solo hay que esperar el nuevo juego de Alice, American McGee ya lo esta desarrollando, y sus nuevos diseños de trajes están super chingones. De hecho el juego se llamara Alice Asylum, y mas o menos por lo que se, y mis investigaciones, tratará acerca de su adolescencia de Alice en el Asilo Rutledge, y va a haber cortes hacía el futuro que vendrían siendo después de Alice Madness Returns. Se ve que será un juegazo, pues los nuevos trajes te dan indisios, por ejemplo, hay un nuevo traje que es como de payasa, y A. McGee, puso una imagen con los Twedlees, a un lado, vestidos de payasos, me imagino que es un mundo de Circo, y hay una nueva modalidad de histeria, que se ve que va a estar pfff!
