Fun fact: Foxy was originally going to be a wolf or a beaver but they were scrapped especially the beaver concept because his last game before this one had a beaver and he didn’t want any trouble Or misconception about it and this Foxy was created also the reason Foxy looked so damaged is because Scott was creating Foxy during a car ride which was hard
Another fun fact: Freddy Fazbear’s scraped name was Freddy Bear to make a pun of Teddy Bear and Freddy’s laugh is a slowed down little girls laugh
Last fun fact: Bonnie actually gave Scott nightmares after the game

I originally thought the Freddy mask in fnaf 2 was actually letting me SEE Freddy’s eyes, telling me he’s in the office with me as I saw the fan too but thought it was at a different angle, so uhh…I moved my phone and well…I thought that was Freddy moving closer to me so I immediately shut off the game after that without realizing I was the one making the “eyes” move lol, silly childish me, good memories, makes it kinda surprising how fucking terrified I was of this game, literally just seeing one of the robots in fnaf 1 leave and me not being able to find it made me shut off the game as well. Sorry if I brought this up outta nowhere I just felt like expressing lol.

As a person who's been with the franchise since the beginning (it's been 8 years holy shit) I love seeing people play the old games for the first time.
Also I should note that these remastered versions on console support mouse and keyboard and have subtitles.
I got some tips for Freddy btw: he will move towards the right door every time you hear his laughter and unlike Bonnie and chica he will not show up the door and instead stay at the east corner, so when you see him there close the door
Another fun fact: there are no files in the game for displaying the Show Stage with Freddy missing before any of the others. This means that, even if you use Custom Night to set only Freddy's AI to 20, he will never leave the stage until everyone else has. However, even at Level 0, Bonnie and Chica can move in the later hours of the night (their AI increases by 1 at 2, 3, and 4AM), so Freddy CAN still move.
Scott actually KNEW this and used it, which is how Night 3 works; Freddy is set to Level 1, meaning he can move, but Bonnie is set to Level 0, making it so that Freddy can't move until at least 2 AM (which is when Bonnie's AI increases, allowing him to move). Chica is set to Level 5, but her movement isn't restricted by the others, so she can move, which explains the gameplay seen in this video.
Edit: Apparently, this also applies to FNAF 2, but even moreso: Both versions of Bonnie have to leave their respective areas first, followed by both Chicas, and finally both Freddies. However, the Custom Night in that game avoids this limitation by disabling both the Show Stage and Parts and Services cameras, so that the animatronics are unhindered by what the game can/can't display.
Fun fact!
FNAF was actually supposed to be the last game Scott was going to make after a series of attempts of creating games that teached about religion and stuff to children, those games didn't do very well, but someone made a remark saying how the animals on the game looked like robots and was actually creepy, so Scott took the criticism and made this!
That's still one of the most chadly things I've seen a dev do.

I came for the RPG/Ace Attorney content, but it's a lot of fun to be introduced to new games through you. Keep up the great content! Or take your time/take some breaks, no pressure!
Getting recommended this so so long after the original upload sucks but god does it bring back that feeling of watching Mark and others play this game for the first time with everything being a new surprise.

Also I might be mistaken because I haven't played this game since it came out but I think you encountered a rare thing but then quickly (and luckily) avoided on the first night, which is very surprising.
Also I swear I remembered the first night being an introduction to the layout and camera systems without any of the animatronics leaving the stage, but guess I was either wrong or they changed it at some point.
you’re thinking of fnaf3 which hadthe first night be danger free, but first night doesn’t really get dangerous until the phone call is over

The doors are held by electricity so that they auto open if the place runs out of power. This is to prevent ppl from becoming trapped someplace they cannot escape

If you’re curious as to why this character is staying at this job its because he is the son of the serial killer who was the cause of the animatronics hostility by killing 6 children so Mike (the character your playing as) is trying to fix what his father has done and release the souls so they can move on to the afterlife
Although the characters last name does not match their fathers last name my guess is because he has his mothers last name after she divorced her husband for reasons we don’t know yet
He goes by a different last name so they wouldn’t know who he was and this lore didn’t exist until the survival logbook so for roamer he’s just staying for no reason
