I live in CT currently and plan on moving to the WPB in January. Was it a huge adjustment? I don’t mind sun and bugs seems like everyone complains about.
Hi! You will love it! Well your first summer deff make sure you walk around with water at all time, summer is brutal nothing compare to CT obviously, so people advised this to me at least the first summer after that you get used to. We do have few weeks during winter that it does get cold, when I moved I didn’t bring any of my winter cloth thinking is hot all year around, well I was wrong. At least we will have a week when it goes down to 30’s I know - 30 to us in CT is like spring but for some reason I wasn’t expecting it so had to shop for some sweaters 🤷🏻♀️... the stress for some weird reason I still get lost even with a GPS 🤦🏻♀️ You will see 🤣 oh always set up your GPS to avoid tolls because it can take you to the turnpike even if you have to go travel 5 min away 🤣 it happens to me and I had to pay $15 in toll cause I didn’t have the sunpass only so I can go 3 exits away... I could have taken I-95 🙄 ... I think that’s pretty much it...a lot to do for the family if you have children... a lot to do if you are single... is just better than CT. Every time I go to visit my family I want to comeback like the next day 🤣
I just moved about 2 miles outside of downtown, just yesterday I seen an iguana that was at least 5' in my backyard, went to take a picture and the thing took off, super fast.
2 years ago today I was in West Palm Beach for a family wedding (I'm from London, England) & #9 was the thing that surprised me the most too. My family & I stayed at the Embassy Suites on Belvedere Road, & there were lizards all over the place just outside the entrance, my daughter loved watching them run all over the place 🤣
My lease up here in Omaha runs out in January. For personal, health, and family reasons I'm going to relocate to West Palm Beach. My parents are also retired in Panama. So geographically it's a lot more practical. The South Florida Tri Rail system will be useful when I have to go abroad, for work or leisure, since they connect to the Fort Lauderdale & Miami airports. Believe me know MIA & FLL really well, because I usually go back and forth from Latin America through Florida.
I was thinking of moving there until you said cooked like a scrambled egg...lol I just found your channel, how are the high schools there? My daughter will be in high school this year and I’m trying to make it a smooth transition
In 2001 I was in WPB doing some cosmetic work for a chain restaurant. I had to remove the mulch from the side of the building. I dug up a snake by accident. My coworker said I levitated out of there. When I returned to try and determine the species. The damnedest thing happened. That snake got up and ran off on 4 legs. Biggest lizard I’ve ever seen in the wild.
Hi Mr Matthews! How is the weather in west palm beach in late September early October? Does it rain a lot ? If so does it rain for long periods of time? Is the weather warm enough to swim in the pools and at the beach? Thanks
Back in the day it would rain everyday multiple times ! It could storm..it can sprinkle, it can Sun shower and it can be terrantial down pour ! In summer it could rain for days straight even a week or more ..it's not like that anymore but we do get some rain
@@Porto795 welcome it's not warm here ! It's Hot 🔥 all the time except February an March are the coldest...it does start getting less hot here an there starting in nov.dec.and january..
I hate iguanas and those curly tailed lizards 🤣🤣 who eats iguana? OMG. We are definitely thinking of relocating to WPB. We will be there in 2 weeks from Orlando. I’m excited to look around to see if WPB is a true fit for my family♥️

Number 5 shouldnt be in this list were talking about west palm beach the only college that you will honestly find here are community colleges like Palm Beach State College if you are gonna make any point on #5 make another vidoe about moving to florida in general. And #13 is alittle off aswell yes many different people from all over live here but where is still a huge gape in wages and housing palm beach county is the most expensive place to live in florida but mostly everyone that lives here cant even afford it and they keep raising prices for a nice 2 bedroom 2 bathroon apartment its anywhere between 1500-2800 just for rent. Sorry i just wanted to put that out there
West Palm Beach is ok but it's nothing like Miami or Hallandale Beach its nothing really to do up there living there was boring, I rather stay in Hallandale Beach or Miami, or Hollywood.

I got sun poisoning, blisters all over my from 1 hour in the sun in west palm. AND I was wearing spf 70. He ain’t joking.
