Just enough to survive😂 The initial salary will be shitty only most of the time. But once you get a little exp, it is definitely going to increase.

Penetration testing is useless. Soc analyst is good career option
SOC roles are more in India so it depends on your interest, you can get a lot of pentesting jobs too.
