I remeber this trimmer which operates manually. One of the barber near our resident was using this in 90's and also after 2000. Not sure until when. But i remember that tool was effective if the blades are sharp. The blades needed to get sharpen when used for some time. But this tool is now way past outdated.
I think it would work if the barber had some basic ninja training and could really move his hands fast enough to reciprocate the modern fading tools....XD
@@reneekittycat nope. They are just extremely blunt so the hair gets stuck and jammed between the blades instead of being cut :) which can also happen with automatic blades which is why they need to be oiled and eventually replaced.
As someone who used hand clippers like those before- you need to oil them VERY well and use them at more of an angle. I am also questioning the sharpness of them. Zaza clippers are similar and work fine.
I always find it fascinating that restoration channels like this always seem to know how everything works and how to disassemble whatever is put in front of them. And not to mention reversing time and making the look store bought.
Its called the same as the first one of them my daughter has decided to open a mail order antiques restoration course. I hope the staff train her with real antiques from the 18th century.

理髪用のはさみは研ぎが難しい上に、実際に髪を切ると普通の研ぎでは髪が逃げて難しいはずなんですが。。。うまいですね、私は刃と刃の間に隙間が出来てはさみは研げませんでした。散髪の仕上がりもばっちりですごいです。バリカンは機械のため却って修正が難しいところですが、この動画では、ありのままを載せて頂いていて好感が持てました。出来たらあの手動バリカンの歯を微調整して、バリカンだけのリターンマッチやって欲しいです！また楽しみにしています！
