He was Just the "World's Greatest Entertainer" period.
I'm 36 and have only recently come to appreciate EP as a gem from the heavens
Always the KING!!!!!
Elvis had it all in spades, RIP Elvis, we live you 🌹💯🙏🏼❤️
Great work on Elvis Presley
And that voice I hear it every day in my car, thru Sirius radio. Elvis radio.
ELVIS ALWAYS NAILED IT NO MATTER WHAT HE WAS SINGING
He looks and sounds great! Awesome footage
David thanks just a very great song, all versions. I appreciate your work and words. Rose 🌹
Just brilliant!!
Who would have thought when Elvis started out he would end up singing such powerful songs.
His voice was pure gold.
Thank you for sharing this video.
I'm with you. In later years, his range was oh so fantastic!! Still unmatched. THE G.O.A.T. for sure. My man!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
That voice at the very start....goose bumps....he looked different, sounded different, acted different than anyone else
Such a strong voice Elvis loved hitting the high notes.I think he would've made a great opera singer
Elvis could have sung Opera if he was trained. He had the pipes for it!
Sandwiched between MGM's "That's The Way It Is", and "Elvis On Tour", it's easy to forget that Elvis had a great year in 1971. Any 1977 footage is just too heartbreaking for me to see. It's no matter now - I know Elvis is in a better place. But I still marvel at that 77 performance of "It's Now Or Never". It is truly spectacular in spite of his his poor condition.
I think the 77 footage is interesting. Also, like you I think 1971 the “missing year” is very good as well! A nice tour in November and some nice recordings. The early Vegas engagement is very good! Also, he introduced some cool suits.
1971 was a good year but I believe the beginning of 1971 was the best. I have about 11 minutes of video footage from the first engagement of 1971 (January-February) and he sounded and looked great.
I can't bear to watch the Elvis In Concert show.Although his voice was still magnificent at the time the energy was gone because of his health condition.I have said many times he should not have been on stage then.😌
@@davidgibbs7232 agree, he should have been in hospital.
I agree, Robert Northrop, I feel very sad when I see Elvis' concerts in 1977, the Colonel was very bad to him, he cared only for money! Elvis didn't deserve that treatment, he was a magnifique person, who needed a bit of resting before continue. Greetings from Argentina, Elvis forever!👋💓
Omg he hit it better then he did in the 60’s. That note!! How he sang any notes in 77 when he could not even breathe was craziness
Love this video, thank you for sharing Elvis is the man !!
Wasn't that the song where Elvis was having a hard time with hitting the note and was told! to hit the note it's like throwing up! He laugh! And he nailed it! like always! The King!! We love the Man!! 👍🏽
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! ❤
I saw Elvis sing It's Now Or Never at the Cow Palace on November 28 1976, and was thrilled when he sang it, as it has always been one of my favourite songs his voice was amazing and the fans kept quiet until the end, as they really appreciated it.
Daly City cow palace?? I was literally born like 2 miles from there and it still exists today if that's the one you're talking about. It's dated AF but it's still there 😅
@@user_abcxyzz Yes, there is only one "Cow Palace." I lived out in San Francisco in the mid-1980's and knew of its history. San Francisco is not known for Republican politics, but their Presidential nominating conventions were held there both in 1956 and 1964 (President Dwight Eisenhower and Barry Goldwater respectively).
Thanks, Elvisistheman for sharing. Love your channel...
I’m very happy to hear that.
Wow! What a voice absolutely perfect. Thanks JR xx
You’re welcome Sr.
His voice was always incredible - so much vocal range. One of the best voices I've ever heard 😊
O' sole mio...a song from Naples famous in all the world thanks to his beautiful voice. ❤️❤️🇮🇹
I love this version! Very powerful and energetic. Anyone who saw this concert was so lucky! Thanks.
Elvis' 71 tour was Electrifying ⚡
By '75, Elvis was hitting notes like that on nearly every song. To me, 1975 was Elvis' vocal peak.
1960-65
@@MarkRogersVOCFB 1960-1972, Then the quality of singing began to deteriorate
It’s was really great, vocally. Also, the Today album showcases his voice!
1972
@@Ирина-т4ф5о Have you listened to the "Promised Land" album? It's my favorite of Elvis' '70s releases. Unlike the other 1973 sessions, the December '73 sessions were productive, fruitful and Elvis was confident in the material.
Seventies is my favourite Elvis period. His voice was amazing ❤
Mine too
The first Elvis concert I went to was Baltimore, November 9, 1971. Fantastic --even from the balcony.
You are LUCKY!!
@@ElvisistheMan_ I went by myself then, but the next six concerts we were a group of four. Fun times.
This was my first Elvis concert it was magic when they started playing the intro you can hear people gasping it was magic electrical with all the flashbulbs going off then there he was boom
Is outfits were so.awesome on stage too.👍
I love all the versions. He was so out of breath in ‘77 though. It’s heartbreaking.
I wasn't old enough to go to a elvis concert but if I was I guarantee you I would of went. Love elvis always Elvis was always fantastic no matter what he did or where he was @ or what he was doing.
He did some great shows in 71. Unfortunately not enough of them are available. Great vocals here from this show.
I saw Elvis in Cleveland 1971, that was my birthday gift from my hubby! ❤️
I love the comparisons! Elvis's voice throughout the 70's just got better and better! I feel the way you do, i like his 70's better than his 60's records! Must have something to do with age lol
Hi David ♥
Great video. I feel the same as you, when i was a kid I loved young Elvis, then i thought his voice was beautiful when he made kid Galahad. Now i appreciate the 70's Elvis and the power in his voice.
Thank you David as always xxx 💝
I loved the way he sang it n his last concert
I got to go to a concert around 71 or 74 his concert I went too was fanastic his voice was on point he it them high notes thanks Dave enjoy your channel
I’m glad you do and that’s great you got to see him. I wish I could’ve!
Prove it
Great vocals!!!
I expect Elvis changed how he performed "its now or never" possibly influenced by his backing singers in the stamps quartet and also Sherrill Nielson's influence. They probably played around in jam sessions after when they got together. I love that he would take that risk and go for that high note regardless on whether he could hit it all the time.
The back up singers followed him.
Boston gardens 1971 off the charts
It was!
I love your content pls keep up the good work !!
Very terrific review.. Thank you for all your hard work and effort and time that you spend on keeping Elvis's memory alive. And for the most part in a very good light. But then again it would be hard to do anything else if one is being honest 😊
Your videos just keep getting better and better!! Thanks so much for sharing all you do!
I was born in 66 and this was what my dad played repeatedly. Elvis and some Johnny cash. But at least 80% Elvis. I also remember light my fire and all the Beatles coming from my mom. By I was around 4 whe I discovered a band called sweet and Winchester cathedral. It was all incredible for a little bitty kid. But at 5 I discovered The Who!!!
Who
Nuevamente gracias por compartir, ELVIS FOREVER ❤
David, I agree with you that Baltimore was an exceptional concert performance by Elvis, for my money it’s simply one of his VERY best ever. I clearly think as well that Joyce Bova’s attendance at the show and members of her family played a part in Elvis’s positive mood and performance.
Right on!
I love videos like this where you compare and contrast how songs changed over time. Very cool.
I’m glad! Also, that’s what goes through my head when I hear songs…Probably like u do too.
AMAZING!!!
I only lived 60 miles from Cincinnati but had no car or money to see him. Biggest regret of my life! When he came to Dayton I was raising 5 kids so another missed opportunity. My husband had seen him in Columbia SC years earlier,so I couldn't talk him into taking me.
Aww bummer!!!
What amazing raw energy..
Absolutely BRILLIANT 👏❤.
Thx the fans who have the incredible joy attending at these concerts and filmed & recorded this history moments for all of us 🫶. God bless you and our king 👑⚡❗
Really great video!! Incredibly powerful.voice🔝💘
Funnily enough, my favourite elvis 71’ concert was the day before this one, Nov 10 , “like a black Tornado”. The album cover of that was an amazing pic of Elvis also. I don’t listen to his 71’ performances as much as I do with other years, but I just remember his medleys on the Nov 10 performance, being awesome..
I'm the opposite I listen to his 1971 stuff a lot more than the other years with the exception of 69 and 70
OMG it’s fantastic ❤❤❤
I love the song… Mess of Blues… off this album! Thank you for all you do for us Elvis fans!! ♥️♥️♥️
You’re welcome! That would’ve been a cool song for Elvis to sing in 71 live!
He rehearsed ‘A Mess of Blues’ & ‘Surrender’ in 1973 in Vegas along with other earlier songs but did not perform them live.
@@MMAfighter38113 thanks for that info. What is a favorite song that you like that Elvis sang??
@@patriciamariepistocco3381 honestly, there are too many to list. I mainly prefer his stuff from 1969-1977. As far as earlier material, ‘Fool Such As I’ ‘I Need Your Love Tonight’ & ‘Don’t’ are my favorites.
@@MMAfighter38113 l really love “Don’t” too! And so many others like all of his music! Such a legend!! 👑🎶
Very kool David
Thank you 🙏🏻
🏎🏁
Thanks for all your hard work in keeping Elvis alive. Saw him in ‘72, ‘76 ‘77.
That’s great! Do u have a favorite?
Prove it
@@ElvisistheMan_ Definitely ’72 concert.
It’s Now or Never is the universal highest selling Elvis song.😉
I like the studio recording the most - Elvis' impeccable young strong voice sounds there, he just sings and proves nothing. And in these late performances, he tries to take higher notes - I can still, I'm still capable of it
I also love the seventies songs a lot. I’m always looking for different versions (takes, etc) of Elvis songs to listen to and record. His voice to me is so unique because of the quiver in his voice in so many of his songs. Chills!🙂Love your channel!
I’m glad you do! I also like hearing outtakes from the studio and concert performances because you never know what you’re going to get!
I was there. It was fantastic.
Awesome 😎.
Thanks you for all the work you do to help us learn more about Elvis.
Good I’m glad u like the vids!
Great video thanks 🎉❤
Thanks for watching!
Wow, loved that mate. Thanks so much.
I loved it you take care of Dave and God bless that was fabulous
That was brilliant ❤
Good!
Absolutely correct, some incredible performances and film that year, so sad no professional footage available yet again. A huge standout for me was a fantastic You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling from Houston November 12 where his stage antics amuse the band, and there is 3.15 minutes of it. Audio not brilliant so I use Boston soundboard November 10 and That's The Way It Is film for completion.
Thank you David for showing us these rarities and also for showing us the differences by explaining them like anyone else! I love Elvis whatever he sang in any way. But since I've been following you, while you're giving us these explanations, I understand certain differences better and therefore I appreciate certain performances better than in the past. Thanks again and have a nice day.
Fantastic job Dave, you have such great 👍 footage. Dude it's a happening, Thanks again TCB
I was there ! Cincinnati 1971 🙂 .
That was cool.
I love 1971 shows in particular as well! Your one of the only people I know, that notices how Elvis's voice was different sometimes. Even from year to year I can pretty much tell what year it is just by hearing a song! His voice was always awesome, but some periods were, like so unbelievably great , that I can't stop listening to him over and over! I'm like that for 1971! My 2nd favorite might be '69 maybe!? But I really do love every year!! Another great video!!!🙂👍 "It's Now or Never " is one of my favorite songs, and I really love comparing the different versions too! I do that with all his songs.lol😄 It's really so much fun for me to do whenever I can!
That’s cool we notice the sane things! Also, I notice you left a comment on my Bible channel. For some reason I can’t respond.
Vocally his best 77!
My girlfriend's parents were at the Boston Garden show...They still talk about it to this day (Why would they not?) They say the show was phenomenal. Sadly the original Boston Garden was torn down in '95. The 1 thing they keep mentioning how their '70 Plymouth Roadrunner was stolen that night right outside.
In November 11th 1971 my dad was born May 11th 1971 he had just turned 6 months old.
I seen Elvis Presley in january 31 1975 at tbe pontiac silver doom the sound system wasnt right Elvis Presley complain after the show but Elvis Presley always gave his best for his fans still there.
This guy has no equal.👑
Nobody even at the time musically could touch Elvis when he was at him best.
I saw him at the Cincy Garden in '76. Wish I'd seen this one but I was only 5 yrs old.
Amazing footage!! From which vendor would you recommend purchasing Elvis music?
77 he kicked ass on this song
The Joyce Bova period was so good for Elvis and his energy levels. Such a shame they didn't work out and she had an abortion. She must have been quite strong to get through this. Elvis was so committed to his career.
💜💜thanks 😊 for this great work
Welcome!
Saw him two nights earlier at the Boston Gahden!
Prove it Joe
I live in Cincinnati, this is cool
Great show!!
Only problem, Elvis was wearing black, the band was wearing black and when the lights were dark..........you could not see anything on the stage.
Although a beautiful suit, the black fireworks, unless you were sitting really close, you could not appreciate it.
With all the black suits I suppose.
Great footage as always!
We’re you there? We’re u not able to see? Maybe that’s why Elvis didn’t wear black a lot?
@@ElvisistheMan_
Oh man I wish I was there!!
I was born in 71.
Just saying, that this show and maybe one more that I know of Elvis and the band all wore black.
Now if the Colonel wasn't such a tight a$$ and paid money for screens it would be OK, but in a huge arena .......all black on stage, especially when the lights are turned down.........I feel sorry for the people in the high tiers.
Even though I love when Elvis wore black costumes, looks SO cool!!
Favorite of all is the Red Burning Love though
It's now or never really sounds operatic Italian style, like Elvis's fellow singer Mario Lanza.
It seems elvis did appreciate having a supportive lady in his life
And his music shows that
😘😇
اعظم فنان على مر العصور لم ولن يتكرر الملك بدون منازع
Sadly the Cincinnati gardens was demolished!
❤
Very similar to the 77 versions. Elvis doesn't get enough credit for diversifying working on his voice and extending his vocal range.
Should have GONE to.
1977 june 😘😘😘😘 the voice - 1971 the picture 👍👍👍
Love these intricate uploads. If I could go back in time and attend one concert, I'd select from 1971. He still had many aspects of 1970 while elements of 1972 were already creeping into 71. So we had the best of 3 years.
But then again I'd also want to attend 74 and 75 concerts 🤫. Oh and 69 too.
I give up !! It's easier to choose a year to skip. That'll be 76 for me.
I’m glad! I think I would pick 1971 too for the reasons you mentioned. You can see from the thumbnail pic that he was still very youthful/healthy looking and ready to rock!
After 1968..... did Elvis ever Publicly Sing..." If I can Dream " as in a once off During a Concert/Tour.... ??
I’ve never even heard a line of it
Should have ‘gone’ to
Its now and never got a bit weird in the late 70s like the original and the 70 version best but the note at the end of 71 was superb. The quality isbt goid enough for me to give a that much of a take on the song as a whole. If you can play the whole song
