Cant stand these new laptops with their plastic cases. I had to use screws and nuts to fix a hinge on a friends laptop it was so bad. Also loosened the hinge nut like you did. It was so hard to move before. I miss the old diecast metal laptop cases.

My dad got a cheap Lenovo laptop for 200bucks 8years ago and it's still going with no issues.
I paid 1,000 for a brand new Acer and after 3years the hinge breaks.
I thought I was paying more for higher quality but it has gone to shit.
My laptop is a lot faster compare to my dad's but my dad's is a lot more durable.
