Although the original is 25 years old IGN shouldn’t put spoilers in the title for fans who have only played FF7R.
Agreed. Super annoying and I'm worried my girlfriend who is super invested in Remake (but hasn't beat the original yet) is going to see this and start asking questions.
@@chenigen As she should, then you can buy her the original and she can forget this hot mess even happened
Shut up, nerds. Grow up
Hope she doesn't avoid it. Otherwise everything that comes after it. Including Advent Children is no longer story cannon.
Aerith will kill Sephiroth
Cloud dies instead?
They spoiled it for me right in the thumbnail 😢
I’m not playing it until it’s on Switch 2, anyway.

FF7 is getting nomuraed, reviving all the characters in KH3 was awful. And it's plain fan service hindering the original plot.
Aerith literally has to die. It’s what kinda kicks everything off
should be marked as spoiler
she still dies
You bet your sweet apples she's dyin'!
My theory is you can't save Aerith but since Zack is alive thinking they both of them is the key to make the timeline back again by sacrificng themselves at the same time leaving Cloud and the gang behind.
But why 😅
no. the whole story will change if they keep her alive.
they have ALOT of ground to cover if pt 2 will end at the forgotten city
It didn’t.
Please 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
She's going to be alive for a while....
Aerith and Zack deserve a happy ending. I'm all for it.
Zack disappeared on her when she was 16, and died. Five years later the events of OG. To expect her to hang onto him that long is not only unrealistic, it’s bad writing. She got over him. Let it go.
Aerith and Zack deserve to be happy, but not together….
They weren’t even that close in the original game. Crisis Core was a complete retcon.
I’d much rather see Cloud and Aerith.
Cloud also deserves a happy ending. Aerith's death clearly haunted him across Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts. Only a true happy ending would be appropriate to end the FF7 story.
@@fearlesscheshirecat1411 Aerith never knew the real Cloud. Tifa has always been Cloud's connection. Regardless of what you'd rather see, Cloud will always end up with Tifa, and Aerith will be with Zack.
Tifa has been hanging onto Cloud for all those years. If Aerith can't do the same, then she's clearly not as loyal as Tifa is.
@@JustinStrife cause you ship it then it's what it must be? If you ship Tifa and Cloud, fine, but don't pretend it's what "it must be". Not really.
They kinda spoiled a story bit
to new fans with the title name. Anyways this is ganna be interesting how they handel this section in this part of the remake if it will include this scene.
This game is 25 years old. The scene is recognized even by non Final Fantasy fans. It's really on them for not playing in time. Aren't the games in alternate universes anyways?
@@Key-Knight87different timelines
@@Key-Knight87 hmm yea
Ugh IGN actively trying to undermine the OG with the constant save Aerith narrative.
Standing up for each other and fighting for each other
Please don’t give me hope.
They absolutely shouldn’t stray much further from OG. OG is memorable because of what it made the player feel. Undoing it will destroy it.
My bet is that Aerith will still be dead by the end of the compilation, but the twists will keep things fresh and still have the same thematic payoffs.
Don't forget, all of that still happened, we already saw all that and it's all canon in the way things happen, but things happening differently and unpredictably is arguably that much more exciting and could potentially create and even bigger scene that creates history all over again.
If it's the same thing, then we miss out on that potential.
@@renegade7565its only exciting if it pans out well. If it ends up feeling like a bad fanfic, then that isn’t fun or exciting.
Thanks for spoiling the story in the title..
Tifa dying instead could do the trick.
Not happening. Tifa is tied to Cloud.
Not IGN spoiling of ff7 😬😬😬
They’re a gaming news channel and the game came out 30 years ago 😂
Ok u got me at 7th point.
thanks for spoiling IGN
They gonna pull a mass effect 1 watch. Either save tifa or aerith. Can only be one.
GD spoiler for people IGN
Ok. So we get to the Forgotten Capital..at the end of disc 1. And all of disc 2 is playing as Zack instead of Cloud in the alt timeline, maybe.
Eh they will bring back Zack too. And probably everyone else who died just to milk it more 😅
Even Seph. Probably make a game where he survives and becomes the protagonist and slowly changes his way.
They need to do other final fantasy games too not just 7.
