By now you may have noticed how good it feels to get your hands on parts of your life in need of purging that you never would have had the time or focus to tackle before.
If you need a change of scenery from organizing physical clutter or if you want to dig deeper into editing parts of your life you can’t see, you’ll learn exactly where to direct your attention in 6 Corners of Invisible Clutter to Organize During Quarantine.
Take #6/Contacts for example. Do you have ANY idea how cluttered the contacts on your phone are? There are likely hundreds of names in there you don’t even remember. It doesn’t take as heave a toll on your as the papers on your desk, but if you don’t cull it, nobody else will.
And, if you don’t do it during quarantine, when will you?
If you want to skip ahead to a particular sore spot, here’s the breakdown:
    1 - Inspiration collection 1:32
    2 - Digital photos 2:29
    3 - Text messages 3:38
4 - Digital files (External hard drives, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) 4:34
    5 - Evernote 5:21
    6 - Contacts 6:46
Did I miss anything (besides email inbox)? Please leave a comment on what invisible areas of your life you are organizing these days. Enjoy!

Good stuff, as always! When I'm on planes, I often go offline and purge my photos and organize my files on my mac.

Yes, that's a great place for that kind of decluttering.

Great info Kacy. I like the tip to sort photos onto Evernote. I don't use Evernote as much as I could. Maybe a post about making and sorting notebooks in Evernote??

Lots of people ask for Evernote videos! I really should, though they update so often that the details will quickly be outdated. But, the essence of how I use it will still apply. Thanks for the suggestion!

Digital Inspration includes Pinterest & RUclips video/channels...

Absolutely. Much of mine these days lands in my phone photos because I take screenshots from Instagram. Part of my Friday afternoon "get my life together" session with myself is to transfer these and other phone photos to Google Photos or Evernote. (Replying to RUclips comments is part of that too. :-)) It's a lot to stay on top of it all!

This is helpful! It lists areas to work in, which you could actually list somewhere and get them off the top of your mind! All that brain niggling is exhausting! Sort of like your routines, you could fit them in as a break from your usual decluttering!

Thanks for letting me know! I work a lot of these hidden decluttering projects into my Friday afternoon weekly clear-up routine.

Kathie, I'm glad this was a helpful one! I try to do a fair amount of this type of "invisible" decluttering on Friday afternoons. It piles up fast during the week!
