    great idea...but if the thickness is your typical 3mm to 5mm, it will only last 1 to 1 1/2 month, before it starts deteriorating and letting water through.

    The problem is when you remove it the residue of the adhesive and the tarp material remains glued to your shingles roof. You'll have to spend extra money to have it cleaned out or removed.

    Can you cover vent when you put the tarp down

      Hi Joyce! The tarp has the adhesive all around the perimeter of the tarp. It also has grommets on the corners, if you would like to hold it down.     Why is HomeDepot promoting an item , it does NOT carry then takes 3 weeks for ship. Tarp is for emergencies not always something you see coming. Smh

      I bet you're right ;-) Also, the instructions probably tell you to clean sweep the shingles to get the adhesive stick to the surface. Just the ideal conditions one would find during a hurricane.
