The largest thread that I can run without having troubles with it, is 207 top and 138 bottom. I could probably go with something larger on the top. But the bottom Max 138 otherwise I have too much trouble. So 207 top and 138 bottom and it runs perfectly.

How thick of leather can you sew with this machine? How many ounces?
I saw alot of belts that are approximately a ¼" thick with no trouble at all. You can show up to about 3/8 of an inch
Can you tell me how to service this machine? I haven’t used mine in 7 years due to caring for my husband. I’d appreciate any help you can give me.

What foot do you have on there? I still have the original and it mars the leather
I believe that foot is for sewing zippers there's a right and a left and that was on there when I bought the machine

We’re did u buy the speed reducer? I have a singer 241-12 that is wayyyyy to fast
