I absolutely agree however what is left unsaid is how making the ethical choice is so much more expensive. Pesticide free, fair-tade, organic cost so much more in farmers markets in the supermarkets in bio shops.. this ethical choice lifestyle though admirable and maybe necessary to end poverty im not sure it is sustainable for the average person/family..
What we really need is for our organisations to become of service to our race and not power leeches. shorten shifts and drastically improve conditions, then again you have the rise of automation against ever rising populations that puts them in a bad place on the global stage. people giving birth to children they know will be enslaved and will have to live an unfulfilling life, the dream of educating your child and sending him abroad is usually a privilege of few.. in a different perspective there is no real crime here because the lives of the 'abused' people would still be pretty bleak even without western intervention. they can go farming but its easier to just work and somewhat participate in the economy. As much as we desire an equal and prosperous world for everyone, it is often impossible to influence poor countries in a positive manner due to history, religion and local monopoly.
Capitalism is amoral. But you can still make money by abusing others. And you can make money by not abusing others. And that's what this is. I don't personally know how it's regulated or anything though
The power of every spend you make can change the world, but only if you stop and think about who gets your money.

There's no such thing as ethical consumerism under capitalism.
Ethical consumption under Capitalism is not possible, it was only created to make people feel less guilty for exploiting the working class.
