Just made this bag. It turned out really nice. I also added a pocket inside on the lining. I’ll be making another. I really like the way the zipper goes in. This is a keeper😃
Great job on this tutorial. I’m interested in trying this. What interfacing is the best for giving a little stiffness like you used. I have one mid to heavyweight that doesn’t seem stiff enough. Thank you
Thank you for this tutorial. I will be making this tote bag as my next project. I do have a few questions: 1) how do you make the handles? I watched your other tote bag video and you used cotton canvas strapping. I would like to know how to sew handles using the same outer fabric. 2) what type of fabrics did you use for both outer and inner ? Are they 100% cotton or something else? 3) how wide are the hems you did for zipper panel and zipper tabs? 1/4” or 1/2” ? ... sorry but I cannot distinguish from the video. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Nice! Just FYI....if you sew on and off a small scrap of fabric you won’t have so much thread waste. That’s a lot!

Why do you sew the zipper tab on 3 sides? The folded end should not need a stitch. Maybe I’m not understanding. Thanks.

Did your needle " gum up" when using the heat and bond? I had to clean it with rubbing alcohol... wondering if this is gumming up my bobbin area also?
