The KTM is definitely faster, but the CR250 is a way crazier ride. The KTM has all the luxuries like hydraulic clutch and trail setup suspension and a heavy flywheel so it feels a lot smoother. The CR is a straight up motocross bike that gives you a hell of an arm pump.
The KTM is absolutely faster in all aspects, but it is surprising how well as bike thats from the 90s keeps up. Also have to factor in the KTM is a trail bike where the Honda is a straight motocross bike.
300 EXC with the 6 speed?
I have the 300MXC with the 5 speed. Thing is a rocket, hard to keep the front end down at times 😂

For sure, lined up the KTM was a bit faster but not by much.
That's not a 98 cr250. In 97 they switched to the aluminum frame. That's anywhere from 93-96 model

The Cr is a beast! KTM is so much easier to ride though, love the suspension and way the engine can lug along like a four stroke.
