I used to maintain bank foreclosures. I've seen my fair share of vandalism and broken into houses as well as squatters. They are likely more scared of you than you are them. It's good to be cautious and do whatever makes you feel safe.

Likewise. I should have started a channel back then to document some of the crazy things I came across. I just stopped servicing a bad area in town where landlords learned the hard way of the bed to protect their property. Have you ever seen a 2x2 metal cage around the AC unit? I have on numerous occasions. Just to keep people from harvesting scrap. The world is....a different place from when I was a kid Y'all be safe
Yeah, this area used to be a good neighborhood and safe. I wouldn’t let my kids roam around out here now. All the drugs that have entered the area has really made things unsafe. So much crime in these areas now. I would be surprised if the AC unit is still there.
I would keep mowing and trim the growth around the house. Make it look like someone is moving in. Just doing what you did might scare off the trespassers.
Yeah, that’s what I want to do! Hopefully she will let me trim the growth around the house so you can actually see if there’s anyone hiding in there. May have given me an idea for the next video?!
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri I agree... I’ll be there for that video too. Hopefully, you can recommend someone to Secure the house for her once the police have arrested these people and charged them for breaking and entry. Good Luck, let us know how it comes out. I’m interested how this story plays out.
When you start working with ppl that don’t take care of their property, you tend to notice things. Like they want the house secure and fixed up, but don’t want to pay to have it done. Or pay to have it mowed. Or pay to have it cleaned up lol. They are just really hard to work with. They let it go for so long that it takes a lot of time/money to get it where it needs to be. Basically a lot of these types of customers want a lot done but for free lol. Hopefully they will pay to get someone to board it up though. Stay tuned!!!!
Oh wow. Homeless don't care. And I bet the neighbors were happy to see you. Great job man. Watching your videos just amazes me with the transformations.
The neighbors were glad to see me knock it down! Appreciate you taking the time to watch the vid! This machine is unbelievable at what it can knock down. More vids coming soon... 👍
Never have i saw such an incredible mowing machine and with several different attachments. I would love to have one of these machines. Its kind of pricey but it would pay for itself in a years time where i live. So many people with land that pay people to bushog and this cuts way better. So I'm very impressed with this beast and love you videos. Ill stay tuned to the next one. Be safe out there ❤❤❤
Thanks for the continued support. I really do appreciate it. You're right, these machines will pay for themselves in no time. Pretty amazing. Thanks again for watching.
Hopefully neighbors will be able to spot ppl coming in and out of the house easier now. I feel bad for the neighbors having to put up with this mess. 😢
I did a similar thing, I walked away from a regular client due to being threatened by her neighbour, you have to think of your safety and your equipment as it's not worth the risk...
I've had a similar situation as well. The neighbor was mentally ill and didn't like my customer. Every time I would go over to service the property it was an ordeal. Finally told the customer that I would continue to mow the property unless it became a huge problem. I ignored the neighbor and wouldn't shut off my equipment. Finally she left me alone lol. But you are right on. Thanks a lot for watching! 👍
You made the wise decision with excellent advice! I've mowed several abandoned yards on my street but kept a watchful eye while working. The houses weren't as huge!
The lawn restoration is amazing. The monster mower is awesome. The tall bushes was one of the reasons why the homeless people dared to moved in. It was hiding the foot traffic. I hope the homeowner can reclaim her property, but it will be a challenge, long distance wise. I agree with you. "Keep moving! Nothing to see here!" This is my first time watching your channel.
Thank you for watching the channel! I’m with you on this one - tall grass hid the area around the house. Hopefully she will figure out a way to secure the location. If she doesn’t do something quickly, she may be in trouble...
That is a big beast of a lawnmower I have ever seen in my life time . I just saw your mowing for the first time. God bless you foe doing a super great 👍. You are blessed 😇 work I will watch moor of your work. Keep safe.
One thing I love about my town. If a house is abandoned or the yard hadn't been up kept the town will step in and start mowing the yard. Then they will put a lien on the property take it over and sell it and give the new owners so much time to get the property up to code. I think that's better than someone just leaving it to rot down. The town don't do this to the elderly people. They can sign up to have help with upkeep of the yard.
That’s a good idea. Here they send a notice (which she received) and have 10 days to clean up the property. If they don’t clean it up, they receive a hefty fine. If the fine isn’t paid they could potentially put a lien on the house. Always seems like ppl that don’t take care of their property always are troublesome to work with - like in this case...
Excellent use of the sandwich technique by the neighbour in his conversation with you. I would never have been able to continue mowing with my back to the house when I realised the door was open when it shouldn't have been.
Haha I hear ya! I thought I was looking out for myself and being aware of my surroundings, but he slipped in on me and I had no clue he was around. Thankfully he was just trying to help out. But the squatters may not have been so easy to deal with...had one of them snuck over on me. Thanks for watching!
We had a ventrac just like that for mowing on the golf course I worked at (new superintendent wanted to start mowing some new areas). I took that sucker through some grass that was a solid 4 feet taller than myself and it had no issue. It even took down some small trees. Ours was a belt hog tho, it went through 4 belts that summer.
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing. So far I haven’t burned any belts up. There may have been a pulley that was out of alignment or something. That would have been fun to watch you eat through grass that TALL! Thanks for watching. 👍
That was an amazing mow. It's nice that you finished the job. Perhaps you should have called the police for a safety concern. If someone is destroying the home while the owner is NOT here... I just think it would be a good plan. Anyway keep up the good work. Thanks for being conscientious of your workers and yourself.😵💞✌🏡💒🇺🇸🌺🌹📹
Thank you! I ended up calling the Homeowner and passed on the info. The neighbor had already called the police, but they couldn't do much without the Homeowner's permission. The owner ended up calling the police about the activity. Appreciate you checking out the channel and watching the vid! 👍
Hello Flossie Ruggles, as you can see I'm Janet Ruggles. My people are from Northern Oklahoma, around Miami, and started in Bluejack. I live in San Diego now, and am 68 going on 21! 🙂👍👋👋
Yes sir! Thankfully I was able to get in and out without no altercations. I did pass on the info to the homeowner. Hopefully something is done quickly. 🙏 Appreciate you taking the time to watch! 💯
I loved it when that machine came out of the truck it was so funny to see the size of it in England it wouldn't even fit in most of our gardens let alone cut it😂😂😂you guy in America don't realise how lucky you are with the size plots of land you have very jealous but keep up the good work. 👍
Haha yessss! I just needed some music and a fog machine when the Ventrac made its way out of the truck. Hey, that’s a great idea for a future video 🤔 lol. Very thankful for where we live and the open space we have here. I couldn’t imagine living in such tight quarters like some of the bigger cities. I’ll have to show you some of the countryside where we live someday. We have acres and acres of woods and farmland here. Thanks for taking the time to watch. I appreciate it. 👍
I do an abandoned house 2 times a year and last year the neighbor came over and told me the same thing. I carry concealed so it wasn’t a big deal for me. I finished just like nothing was going on. But I had seen the door kicked in and stuff strung out when I first got there so I was on alert anyways.
Yeah, a little more calming when you’re packing. But you just never know what will happen In these situations. Glad you were able to get in and out with no issues.
God Bless you! I have been searching for this mower for 2 years basically for mowing berms and slopes. Ended up with a brand new John Deere 1550 (it’s a beauty). Slopes will be mowed with a billy goat and JD brush deck
God provided us all with gut instinct. 😉 No job is worth your life. I walked out of a rich lady's vacation home I was supposed to clean when I discovered someone was living in the basement. That job paid $400 for a day's work. Turns out it was her indigent brother. Turns out he was an addict. Turns out I never went back.🥴
Absolutely! Great decision as well. You just never know what will happen when dealing with those types of ppl. Appreciate you checking out the video! Have a great day! 👍
I'd brought whole crew and clean up everything. Then sent the bill to her. Definitely would have called the law after seeing door open. Law probably tired of neighbor calling them for that property. It amazing how many people own property that live out of state and can careless about the people that have to live next to a dump like that one.
Exactly right. And on top of that, they try to make it out to be your problem. It’s not my property. Or the neighbors property. But we are the ones that get stuck with the headache by servicing the property or living next to it. Meanwhile it’s out of sight out of mind for the owner. 🤦♂️. Appreciate you watching the video! 👍
That was going to be a new jungle survival training area??!? But seriously you did the right thing. That situation is next level from worrying about snakes or metal debris in tall grass. Be safe!
I once owned a llandscape maintenance business in Greensboro, North Carolina for 18 years. I have ran into similar situations such as this. It was me, my dad, and a two workers. In our case, we contacted the homeowner, who then callted the local police department. The police came out, ran off the "squatters", and then stood guard at our vehicle as we finished mowing the yard.
Does the county have code enforcement? If I reported an abandoned property with activity in it, the county would get involved, and bill the owner or lein the property. Overgrowth like that invites rodents into the area, along with the food chain that feeds on vermin. Some counties don't have the resources to be aggressive about it. In the end, the property owners need to step up. This sort of thing happens a lot with foreign investors. Sad.
Yeah, the owner received a warning for the tall grass. If nothing is done then they get a ticket. Then if the ticket isn’t paid within so many days, they can put a lien on the houSe...
Absolutely. The neighbor informed me that they tried getting the police out there and they wouldn’t so much without the owner’s permission. So I was able to get in touch with the owner and recommended that she call the PD. Appreciate you watching! 👍
Ohhhh yeah! Thanks for watching the transformation! 😎. Be sure to check out Part 2 when you get a chance. 💯. The Ventrac is unbelievable on the hills! It’s like a 🐐
It's unnerving how long someone can stand near by without being noticed. Trust your gut. If you feel uneasy there's a reason! Having said that, that's a machine! 😆
I know right! I was focused on not hitting anything under that tall grass. Little did I know someone was behind me watching 👀. You’re definitely right. Always go with your gut! Haha...yessss! That’s a machine!!! 💪
Yikes, hope they're not cooking meth in there! Middle of the day just working outside like that you were probably safe, but glad you got in touch with the homeowner. And yeah, that mower is something else!
I would have called the police and have them go inside. Like you said you want to be safe. Because the neighbors chasing them out. The police needs to be call so they can watch for people . Especially if they're drug addicts. That's what brings down the neighborhood. It's not the homeless who cause problem. The homeless will leave. The squatters and drug addicts won't.
Absolutely! I passed on the info to the homeowner and told her she needed to contact the police. The neighbor tried to get the police to come out, but they wouldn't do much without the homeowner's permission. Hopefully she'll get everything secured before it's too late and squatters take over the house. Thanks a lot for checking out the video! 👍
Wow, that's a beast of a machine. If you finish hitting the high spots, it would expose squatters. Here in Florida squatters can claim the deed to abandon homes. Thanks for trying to help a friend
Same here in Mowssouri. It’s really hard to get squatters out of a home once they’ve taken it over. They have more rights than the actual owner. It’s crazy. Thanks for watching “the machine” in action!
I’m with you man. Too sketchy for a lawn guy. I just wanna knock down tall grass not watch over my shoulder and wonder who’s coming out of door number 1...
I did contact the owner and they were supposed to get in touch with the police. Be sure to check out part two of the video when you get a chance. Thanks for watching!
It all about personal prefference! you chose what you felt was best! anyone wanting to judge you or question you wasn't in your shoes at that time! cute little mower , I work on a farm an drive a JD8850 great fun with plow on behind!
That’s right. You never know until you are in someone else’s shoes. That’s cool! We have that same tractor on our farm. We have 2 other JD tractors and the rest are CASE. Thanks for taking the time to check out the Ventrac! 👍
The owner should call the cops and tell them what's going on and ask them to do a walk through in that house. Better yet send in the dogs that will get their attention. If it has become a know drug house that's bad for everybody around that house. You did the correct thing for sure. I feel sorry for the neighbors but also proud of that guy you talked to...sure hope he's packing when he confronts anybody coming or going from that abandoned house. GREAT JOB on that Ventrac one awesome machine.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate the support. It definitely was a sketchy situation, but I’m really thankful that the neighbor informed me of what was going on. He didn’t have to do that, but he did. I haven’t been back since lol.
Me I would probably make sure to some extent there was noone in that basement. I'd yell in there "This door is being sealed shut so if anyone's in here come out now". I'd get a lock and a couple of 2x4's and seal the door shut to where noone is getting there. Not only would it help the homeowner but the neighborhood as well. Noone wants people like that in the neighborhood. Things would probably start to come up missing as the neighbor has already said that the homeowners copper piping has probably been stolen and Lord knows what else has been stolen inside that home.
I didn't want to find out what or who was in the basement lol. But the owner had the police come over and check things out after I told her the news. Definitely some sketchy stuff going on over there. Check out part 2 when you get a chance. Thanks for watching!
I think I would have called the police first. Because the basement door was open . Then I would have cut the grass. Your first instinct is your best advice
I understand you very well, you never know the behavior of a stranger when he feels extricated from a place where he is not allowed to be there. One is never careful enough and it is better to prevent any danger or reckless situation. Stay on your guard and especially warn where you are going if you do not feel safe.
Absolutely! I got into a tricky situation before I knew it. Thanks for watching the video. I can tell that you understand where I'm coming from. A lot of ppl don't realize the situation by just watching, but you figured that out quickly!
I do alot of foreclosed homes in Alabama I run into alot of stuff .I carry a pistol & wear a Kevlar vest just to be on the sAfe side. I cleN up homes& yards in some very bad neighborhoods. Some of the homes I clean up are abandon properties. I find out who the owners are . I call them and tell the the family property has been empty for a few years. They go pay the taxes and get the home back. Like I said I have run into some very strange stuff
Nice looking abandoned home. That machine backs up the hill backward with no problem. What is the purpose of such a big machine like that? Do you cut those types of properties all the time?

@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri that's just sad
Yup
Where is the house! Great clean up job! I'm sure the entire neighborhood is thankful for this transfirmation!👍👍👍
Thanks! It was hiding back there somewhere lol. Appreciate you taking the time to watch. 👍
That mower is an absolute magnificent BEAST!
Yes...it....is!
It's like a farm tractor 🚜 😆
taken to the next level... 😳
Wow love before after pictures
Thanks for taking the time to watch! 👍
I like that mower that a bush hog keep it up I like that
Awesome! It can tame some wild grass quickly!
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri I'll be there for the next video. Fingers crossed she agrees. ☺️👍
Awesome! Yes, let’s hope so!
You are added to my list of mowing video folks along with Juggernaut and Top Notch!
Much love from Ohio!
Awesome! Thanks for adding me to the list! Be sure to check out part two as well. Appreciate the support OHIO! 👍
The ventrac handle that yard easily. Nice job!
Ohhhhh yeah! That thing is a machine! 😃. Thanks for watching! 👍
WOW! I'm speechless! just amazing! better then watching a movie, lol,⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍✌️
Haha yes! Thanks for watching! It really is an amazing machine. 💯
By cleaning up that yard will bring attention to the house now.
Hopefully neighbors will be able to spot ppl coming in and out of the house easier now. I feel bad for the neighbors having to put up with this mess. 😢
It will look just like that again in 6 to 8 weeks with all the rain going on everywhere.
You got that right! Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a jungle already lol. We are getting so much rain 🌧
This makes it look like someone lives there so maybe it will scare them away
Let’s hope so!
God bless you brother
Thank you for watching the video.
Being threatened is a entirely different situation.
For sure. Definitely don’t want to get into that kind situation.
You made the wise decision with excellent advice! I've mowed several abandoned yards on my street but kept a watchful eye while working. The houses weren't as huge!
To all the Lawn Care men and women out their please be safe in this heat we are going through. Much love.
Thank you so much. It’s 107 with the heat index here today. 😓
I'm from Missouri I know. Please be safe
Ohhhh yeah! 👍
You should have called the police , be careful out there , nice job !!!!
Thank you! Appreciate you taking the time to watch.
As big as the house is. Wouldn't surprise me if children were in there.
That is a big beast of a lawnmower I have ever seen in my life time . I just saw your mowing for the first time. God bless you foe doing a super great 👍. You are blessed 😇 work I will watch moor of your work. Keep safe.
Thank you so much for the support! Appreciate you taking the time to watch the videos. 👍
As long as county doesnt falsely claim they notified owners, just to take possession. So many crooks in govermment.
First time seeing your video I love what you do and I subscribed to your Channel
Thank you for watching. Appreciate the support! 👍
That mower is a beast.
Ohhhhhh yeah! It’s a machine! 😃
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri A monster machine!
Love it!
I agree with you getting out of there! God does provide! BE SAFE,GOD BLESS!🇺🇸🙏❤
Thanks for watching! That place is too shady for me lol. Be sure to check out Part 2 when you get a chance!
Thanks for watching! 😃
Glad you kept yourself safe. Nice you have data to provide the owner about conditions.
Yes sir! Thankfully I was able to get in and out without no altercations. I did pass on the info to the homeowner. Hopefully something is done quickly. 🙏 Appreciate you taking the time to watch! 💯
New subject matter for the future. Lawn Mower Transformation horror stories.
Pretty bad when I use mowing channels to fall asleep to haha I always listen to what y’all talk about then the mowing begins lol
Hahaha that’s funny. 😂. Thanks for watching! Next video I’m going to put an alarm on it so you’ll wake up if you dose off lol.
Ventrac is awesome. We have the old Steiner which is just an old version of Ventrac.
Nice! I have a buddy that has a couple of 450’s. He loves them.
Wow that's a beast ......First time on your channel.... Will keep watching .......
Awesome! Glad you found the Channel. Thanks for watching. 👍. More vids coming...
Great job, amazing beast of a machine!👍✊
Thank you. Thank you. And thank you for watching! 👍
Damn I love your Mowing Truck!
Haha thanks!
Are you using the standard blades on your tough cut? What RPM's are you running?
Yes, standard blades on the Tough Cut! It’s throttled all the way up. Probably 3500 or so
That machine is epic. Well done.
Yesssss! Unbelievable machine. Thank you! Appreciate you watching. 👍
God Bless you! I have been searching for this mower for 2 years basically for mowing berms and slopes. Ended up with a brand new John Deere 1550 (it’s a beauty). Slopes will be mowed with a billy goat and JD brush deck
Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoy your new setup. Will you be tackling your own property? Or running it in your business?!
Mini bush hog ? Where's the Deere ? Great job . You are awesome. God bless your kindness always.
Thanks a lot! Appreciate you watching!
I think you did the right thing. Notify the owner and get the heck out of dodge safely. Love that 4500K machine. Stay safe brother.
YES - Thank you! Sounds like you would have done the same. Appreciate you watching! The 4500K “is a machine!” 😃
That was going to be a new jungle survival training area??!?
But seriously you did the right thing. That situation is next level from worrying about snakes or metal debris in tall grass. Be safe!
Haha. They about left me for survival. Thankfully everyone survived to tell about it! #VentracLifeInMowssouri
Props to the cops on that one. That would be solid if they would do that here in Mowssouri. 👍
You should never be afraid to contact authorities.
Absolutely. The neighbor informed me that they tried getting the police out there and they wouldn’t so much without the owner’s permission. So I was able to get in touch with the owner and recommended that she call the PD. Appreciate you watching! 👍
2:19 Mowing starts here!
Thanks! 👍
Made a good choice. Safety first. Bless you.
Absolutely. Thanks for watching!
Great job 👍

I find these transformations are fun. The Ventrac 4500K is great on hills, I dont own one, but I think it would be fun to own one! lol
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri Get yourself some mirrors on the big ole' tractor. 😂

👍👍😁 Love watching your videos!!!
Awesome!!! Thanks for watching. 👍👍👍
Yikes, hope they're not cooking meth in there! Middle of the day just working outside like that you were probably safe, but glad you got in touch with the homeowner. And yeah, that mower is something else!
My thoughts exactly. Appreciate you taking the time to watch the video! 👍
Just came across your channel, curious did the home owner take of things so you can finish up? MO resident, here.
Be sure to check out Part 2 of the video! I’ll share in Part 3 more of what has happened in the last couple of months as well. Thanks for watching!
I AM GLAD YOU GOT OUT BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE WERE IN THERE AWESOME VIDEO
You got that right! Exactly why I wanted out of there lol. Thanks for watching! 👍
That guy is probably the quatter as well as the copper thief….
Uh oh. 🤔. Now that puts a whole new twist on things... 😳
I was thinking the same thing
Uh oh 👀. Anyone else?!
Wow. Never thought about that. Great analogy.
Sketchy man! Glad you got out of that! Too sketchy!
I’m with you man. Too sketchy for a lawn guy. I just wanna knock down tall grass not watch over my shoulder and wonder who’s coming out of door number 1...
Fear not. For if HE be with you, who can be against you?
Nice mowing that machine you have is sooo cool
Thanks a lot! I appreciate you taking the time to watch. 👍
Call cops...make them check it out first...
That isn't his responsibility

Yes sir. What would you like to know? It’s an Isuzu NPR..
I like that the guy next door came out to tell you. Keep mowing. I think they'd be more afraid of you.
Yeah he’s a nice guy. Thankful that he was looking out for me. You just can’t predict what ppl will do when on something.
Brother, when you're working, don't worry about the small things. God has your back!
I’ll just keep Rollin with you Eddy. Let’s go!
You have a good heart.
Thank you 🙏
The owner should call the cops and tell them what's going on and ask them to do a walk through in that house.
Love that mower you have there sure could use one mowing the lawn grass here in South Alabama lol

Yeah, sure wouldn’t have hurt anything to do so. Wasn’t expecting that when I showed up. You jus never know nowadays. Thanks for watching!
Great job !

is that how you left it ? or is there a second video
Be sure to watch till the end. Before and after photos.
We need to team up if I go tackle any more of these properties. Sounds like you’re prepared!
Craziness 😬congrats on 2k subs👍
Yesssss 😳 Thanks a lot! Appreciate the support! 👍
Nice looking abandoned home. That machine backs up the hill backward with no problem. What is the purpose of such a big machine like that? Do you cut those types of properties all the time?
Thanks for checking it out. 👍
