  • I frame my steel garage, add fiberglass insulation and put up some galvanized steel. I age the galvanized steel and try to make the wood boards look old.

Loving the look you're going for. Up here where I am in Ontario, Canada we typically use fiberglass batt insulation with a 6-7 mil vapour barrier stapled to the framing over the insulation on the warm side. Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.

Love the look, bro! I'm looking to do something similar with the aged Metal Wainscot and wood on the upper 8-10 feet. Thanks for the details and looking forward to more videos on it.

I live in the south with termites, you may want to put sill plate treated wood and foam under to keep it a little bit tighter and keep some bugs out from the sill. Building is like car building some aspects are more expensive than others. I built my shop 48by72 and I built it post frame style and put soffit vents in and I just finished putting 138 , 4x8 sheets of 2 inch insulation. What a difference it made. I have a heat unit and cool and it would not keep up until I put the firing strips and insulation was fixed with 3 inch screws and fender washers. I always use screws by the box full. I have air nailers but the screws can be removed and changed if I need to. This believe it or not saves me money, the wood is easier to change and move if needed later on. Just a tip. also if you need to fix the bottom plate to the concrete use a 1/8 inch concrete drill and two concrete nails to affix the plate you can remove those nails and they do not tear up your concrete like just driving the concrete nails. Good luck with your shop, btw just got a 4 post and what a game changer.

Great video with an updgreat. I live in Connecticut and I have the same building as you same color even. Minds only 18 / 31 though. I went with eight inch thick walls , but four inches thick on the ceiling installation , All foam board insulation. The cream color. I love it, but I would probably make your roof double thickness to make up for the thin insulation on the walls. Of course, heat rises. Signature solar makes a cool solar powered. Split you in the heater. I'd like to go solar power someday. The lighter color the walls the better the light reflects. I painted my Walls, but white color. I have a forty two ford sedan Staff car that I think is wicked. Cool needs a full restoration though. I think you should hang a World War. 2 Jeep grill on the wall and make the headlights work for a dim light when you walk in hooked up to a light switch. I made mine parsley into a man cave also. I wish I had dogs to hang out with like you. Man's best friend. I would definitely paint the floor Gray. I painted mine a cool color but it sure didn't hold up. I love the safety of my four post Rotary car lift.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
