  • @therussian572
    @therussian572 6 лет назад +12247

    Unfortunately, that is not the voice of Nicholas the second. That is most likely the voice of one of the Grand Dukes of Russia, because the soldiers reply with "Ваше Высочество" (Your Highness) and not with "Ваше Императорское Величество" (Your Imperial Majesty) which is the correct form to address the Tsar of Russia. Also, the translations and transcriptions are wrong in many places. Here are the corrected ones chronologically: "Братцы! Спасибо вамъ за славный парадъ!" "Здравія желаемъ Ваше Высочество!" "Спасибо братцы, вамъ за отличныя ученія!" "Здравія желаемъ Ваше Высочество". Translation: "Brethren! Thank you for (this) Glorious parade!" "We wish You good health Your Highness!" "Thank you brethren, for the excellent military games (war games)!" "We wish You good health Your Highness!".
    The original recording is much longer and contains the same voice at the start of the parade saying: "Братцы! Пью за дорогое здоровье нашего державнаго Вождья Государя Имератора Николая Александровича! Ура!" (Brothers! I drink to the health of our sovereign Chief Our Lord Emperor Nicholas Alexandrovich! Hurray!). Therefore the voice can not belong to H.I.M. Nicholas II himself. Further, back in 1910, it was impossible to record anything on larger distances (more than a couple of meters from the recording devise), hence, this recording is most likely recorded with actors in a room, for commercial purposes. People could then buy a recording of an historic event, "re-told".
    Update (10th of April 2020):
    1) To those who claim that only the Tsar could have addressed the soldiers as "brothers", you are wrong. It was custom in the Russian Empire for superior officers to address lower ranking military personel as "Brethren" (as is also custom in the Orthodox Church).
    2) Here is a link to the full length recording including a complete transcription and analysis:

      Well.. Not exactly. His coronation was an omen of what was to come (1,389 people died in a stampede that day!) It seemed he never knew what he was doing and his father did nothing to train him to become a worthy tsar. Nicholas II was more concerned about games than politics, evident by his personal diary. He erroneously involved Russia in World War I and lost to Germany which frustrated the Russians because of the loss of life (again), limited resources, etc. He often would retreat with his family away from the capital to get away from the constant criticism he and the empress faced from the Russians. He only decided to finally abdicate the throne when everything had already crashed and burned. The crown was not tempting to Michael (his brother) so he refused, saving his life by staying out of the mess the tsar created. The tsar and his family were very naive and ignored the dangerous signs of what eventually lead up to their deaths, hoping naively that someone would save them. When he was executed, the Russians did not mourn him or his family but mourned the fact that they no longer had a monarchy. The entire family were comprised of weak members, both genetically and mentally. It was a mistake for Nicholas II to occupy the throne.

    The story of Csar Nicholas II was tragic, when his father died in 1894 he was not keen in ruling the empire but he had to because he was heir to the throne, like any person coming to power over night can be overwhelming and as such he was overburdened but he was not incompetent as we all take time to learn when he came to power he had an advisor who made poor judgements and make Nicholas to follow his advice which led to some serious faulty decisons leading to death of many people in the coronation day of tsar nicholas II and such faulty decisions of the advisor led to the downfall of such a great kingdom,provided if nicholas had had a proper advisor all these would have been avoided but what can we say maybe whatever happens it happens for good,but such hardwork of the ancestors of Nicholas to establish the Romanov dynasty was destroyed by few lack of judgements.

      Actually, the guy was one of the worst despots of the 20th Century who had countless opportunities to help the Russian people but consistently never did, instead ordering Bloody Sunday, as well as two retarded entries into failed wars to 'Unite the country'
      He crushed peaceful opposition and was so badly oppressive against his own people that, even though I hate communism, I, and probably most people reading this would have likely been Bolshevik sympathisers had we been Russian at the time, it was that bad.
      Did his entire family deserve to be killed? Absolutely not.
      But the situation in Russia was unimaginable and having sympathy for the Tsar is a massive folly

They would of had to pass all pf the western Russian empire, or what remained of it, which was firmly in communist hands. That sounds highly unlikely, especially considering that most Russians hated the tsar because he sent so many men, sons, fathers to war to die and starved millions more. Who would collaborate with him? And hell finally reach a country which made up part of the austro-Hungarian empire, the same one that he was so persistant to fight. Hed be assassinated early on. Not only that but he'll survive the invasion of the nazis, the the occupation of the Soviets. And if stalin could identify Hitler who was burnt to a crisp, the he could definitely identify some old man. And then survived the eastern bloc? Sorry but that conspiracy theory is far too unlikely.
