I’m so glad you like it ❣️I was kind of sure you’ll do 😂 in my Tele‘ish where I’ve changed the stock Tesla humbucker i‘ve put some 300k pots in (had to change the stock 500k‘s coz they were to bright in my ears) and now i‘m happy with. I‘m not sure if there is a measurable difference to 250k pots but for my liking it‘s the way to go with a set of Rebel 9o‘s. Yeah, there is a little loss of „twang“ but you can still say blindfolded it’s a Tele. And a Tele has to be single coiled for me 😅. I’m not affiliated with Tonerider but I’ve tested them against SD‘s and they sounded as good to my ears but costs half of the price. Hoping to hear a lot Tele on your streams and watching your joy while playing ❤

That P90sounds great in the neck position. Pity we missed out on the off camera wailing and gnashing of teeth, maybe you could release the Directors cut of that at a later date.
Hey thanks for your reply. I'd just ordered one of these for the neck of one of my Teles before i'd watched your video but was worried how it would sound with 250k pots, some people online were saying 500k pots for P90s - so glad it should sound good!
I think it comes down to the pickup with P90's,, these are alnico II at around 9k,, so they're going to resonate a fairly high frequency compared to much stronger pickups. They dont seem too damped in my setup, but of course you will always brighten them up by going 500k,, Fender use dual split shaft pots for that purpose. 🙂
I use some of these cheap selfadhesive rubber lips that normally prevents the wind blowing through your door to stop pickup wobbleing. Cut it to length and put two stripes underneath. They are easy to remove without residues. 🖖

You still want it height adjustable to some degree, foam is quite nice to allow some movement but stops the side to side wobble.
