I watch your reviews for the writing, the way you clearly and gracefully detail all aspects of a game is second to none. It really shows that you're putting the time and efforts into making actual reviews, not some 5 min "Game good 9/10" thoughtless impressions. Great work as always!
I'm SO glad Warhorse stayed with CryEngine for this game. Every game these days is on UE5 and my god it's just too much already with UE5. And if it's not UE5, it's UE4 lol (or Unity to be fair). Plus, CryEngine is still an incredibly beautiful engine and can still put out AAA level visuals and the engine itself is stable and just a good experience in 2025.
@@NeakMeakk In the hands of good developers, UE5 is fine of couse. Or should I say, devs who can handle the quirks of the engine AND can do optimization. The whole "stutter struggle" thing still being a thing in 2025 is wild.

This is EXACTLY what wanted. Don’t revamp the game, don’t make it something new, just give me the sequel of the first game with a little bit of QOL and polish and you’ll sell like gang busters. Sounds like that is exactly what the devs did.
Hands down some of the best reviews. RUclips is so chock full of shills and biased reviews that finding someone who can actually articulate the good and bad aspects is almost impossible. Thank you for being that guy!
Honestly just based of the video I've seen, I would buy this game just to walk around that world, its just that beautiful. The amount of time, money and effort that must have gone into building it must have been enormous and here we are able to buy a copy of it for a measly $60. Truly its great to be alive!
I plan to wait until it gets at least a month's worth of bug fixes. But I need to play through the first game anyway, which might take me a month. Was wanting to know whether this game was worth it before I invested all that time into the first one. Thanks, ACG.

@lincoln_highway1355 I've been watching him for years, his wit and excellent writing along with his objectivity (I miss his old intro which really hammered home that last point, but not worth the demonetization) is why I still consider him my number one source for game reviews.

Not updating KCD1 on consoles could hurt new player sales for the franchise. With KCD2 coming, many will want to try the first game before spending $70. On PC, it’s fine, but on consoles, low res, high input lag, and a 30fps cap make it rough & potentially put new players off playing like myself. A simple fps unlock could help for current gen consoles.
Great review! KCD 2 looks absolutely incredible-everything from the improved combat to the expanded world has me hyped.
