That way I can get right in close to my work area without stretching the hose at all, but avoid being completely blasted by the noise of the machine.
Great video Jeremy. Using words like "common sense", "realistic" and NOT all stains will come out is pretty risky these days. Fortunately, everything you said was the TRUTH. I upgraded to the VacMaster and I am extremely pleased with it. Stay well my friend. 👊 Aloha 🏝
Thank you! I have a lot of couches, car seats, carpets that can use a proper cleaning. Thanks to your channel I could understand what kind of machine I need (I got a normal bissel spotclean, proheat - I am not using it commercially, just homeowner type) and thanks to your work and your content I know how to properly use it to get the results I want Thanks again! Keep up the good work! :)
Good tip about hose storage. I was wrapping mine towards the bottom around like the little green. I didn’t want to damage the hose. Good tip about leaving a little play when storing the hose.
This has to be one of the best informational / instructional videos I have seen on You Tube. A separate sprayer with product makes so much sense. How could I not have known this?
I store my bissell in it's original box. I store it exactly as it was shipped to me, minus the plastic it was packed it. I clean it completely and dry it when I'm finished at the end of the day. I'm following your recommendation on turning my wet/dry vac into an extractor. I do 3 cars a day and it's time consuming to keep filling and emptying the small tank supplied. My water heater is set to 130 F. I can hook up a water hose to it and good to go. Thank for the video tips.
I got 10 years of heavy use out of my Bissel LGM. I bought a PetClean Pro (same machine, different color) and love it. I use mine to extract after steam cleaning carpet and cloth upholstery.
Your advice was completely spot on. This is an awesome machine but not commercial for the professional detailer. One aspect I really like is the small head for getting into tight spots on floorboards. Thank you for the video.
still many mobile detailers use them, because it saves you space and it's portable. Also it does the job very well. The only ones not liking them, are those who broke the handle of the head..and actually this shouldn't happen with proper use. Mine still running very fine and results are great. I also have a wet/dry setup with a boschbindustrial vaccuum etc, which I used first and is comparable to a shopvac, but is much heavier and actually, although more power, doesn't work that well. It does have a blowing function, whiched I used for blowing the car dry after a wash...everything has it's advantages etc.. Main thing for me is, being able to be mobile and not needing a heavy big truck..it's not cost-effective.
I've had good success with my Bissell so far. They are monsters for the price point, but you're correct in that if you're using them everyday, they aren't meant for that.

Thanks Jeremy, this was a real informative video.I saw lots of videos on this machine, but it seamed that no one could give me a home run on it...and here you are just destroying it, thanks Jeremy now I can say it's on my list to have too.💫👍🏻
Great tips Jeremy. That's a great tip about sticking the head into a bucket of water and clearing out the machine. I've used this type of machine for 25+ years back when Bissel came out with the original "Little Green Clean Machine" which was a very similar unit and grandfather of this machine. I now have one of these units in addition to a full sized extractor but lean towards using this one most of the time due to the ease of use and portability. I never cleaned out my machine before but I will definitely be doing that now. 👍
Because of you, I decided to buy one! $64 on Ebay, that was so cheap! haha. Since I am not from the USA, with the shipping to my country the price is 130. I stil feel that's so cheap. Thanks! I will sabe so much money with this!
It seems there are very few stains that are unremovable!! I'm cleaning a car that looks and smells like a mechanic used it without ever washing their hands, and motor oil was drizzled everywhere. 🙄 No cleaning for 20 years - horrible! Turns out patience is the name of the game... It took me 2 hours just to do the driver's seat, but I successfully got all the stains out!! 🙌🏼🎉 Thanks for all of your tips that you share!
I bought one this year and am very impressed with it’s performance. When I’m done using it I flush it with clean water and leave the hose hang down and dry to ensure that all the water has dried before putting it back in it’s holder.
I use the size 1 and 1/0 Mustad hooks to freeline for snook ruclips.net/user/postUgkxzXmlErSqVAEGWFEKO530BvTqFDw53QW3 and they have been fantastic. The points are super sharp, and the hook is small enough to blend with my baitfish, yet large enough to land fish 30" or more. I also use these hooks when I'm pier or surf fishing with my kids. They tend to catch tons of smaller snapper, whiting, and catfish, and we get far fewer gut hooks with these Mustad in-lines, which means more of them survive after release. I was actually using these hooks when I caught my friend too, but I think that had more to do with the bait I was using ;-)
Have used my Bissel for about a year and no issues. I am very careful of the hose, you just can't be in a hurry doing this otherwise you will damage the hose or the machine. But it does a great job for me.
Have you tried the other two steps in the p&s carpet cleaning system? They have terminator for spots, carpet bomber for the general cleaning, and finisher to neutralize. I like to keep everything ph neutral so I don’t ever use just carpet bomber. Terminator is 5.5 ph and carpet bomber is 10.5. So those two essentially cancel out and the finisher peroxide neutralizes the surfactants and prevents wicking. I don’t have or want an extractor because I’ve never had this system fail me. Good stuff as always with p&s!
Nice. What kind of brush or technique do you generally use with the 3 part system? Everyone always wants a "shampoo" and I'm like do you want your stains gone or a shampoo. I can get the stains out without the need to soak your entire interior with water.
@@AMP8424 100% agree there. If the stains are really bad I’ll spray terminator on, rub in with my gloved hand instead of a towel to leave more product on the surface and let it dwell for as long as I can (usually around 20-30 minutes is plenty). Then I’ll come back with another shot of terminator and I use my dupray neat steamer and a nylon brush to break up the heavier stains. Then go in with carpet bomber and I like to drill brush with a soft white 4 inch drill brush. If I still see stains I’ll use the bigger triangle nylon brush on the steamer to give some heat and agitation to the whole area. Then I’ll hit it with finisher and use the microfiber bonnet on the triangle brush to finish out and pick up a lot of the dirt and grime. I usually follow that with a regular microfiber to mop up and to brush the carpet fibers in the same direction. On lighter carpets I might even spray a few extra sprays of finisher and leave it to dry because of the brightening effect peroxide cleaners like finisher leave when they dry. If I’m just doing a quick clean with a few light stains and dirt then I just spray with terminator and carpet bomber and then drill brush. Then I do the same finisher process. Sorry if this is kind of long but hope it helps!
@@ethanblan435 hell yea man. Sounds like you got the P&S system dialed down. Everyone wants to go to town with extractors and I've never been a fan of soaking and drying for hours. Thanks for the advice👍🏻
After watching / listening to your video(s), I purchased a Bissell Spot Clean Pro and your pump sprayer, but I need your advice on what type of drill attachment cleaning tool will be gentle enough for microfiber upholstery. Should I buy a sponge pad drill attachment with buffing cloth for waxing & polishing car paint? Or should I buy the drill-attachment- brush cleaning tool kit you provided an amazon link for? I also want your opinion about what would be the best cleaner solution product to clean microfiber upholstery. A few RUclips videos demonstrate and recommend using Method brand glass cleaner to scrub and clean microfiber upholstery material. Thank you for your videos!
I just purchased this, I mostly detail vehicles for family and friends here and there. So for me this is perfect! Good machine good price! If I had a full time detailing business then I would buy a mytee or something similar.
If you are using the P&S Carpet Bomber I do follow their recommended use of the P&S Finisher Peroxide Treatment. Yes, the clean water should flush it clean but easy to apply a light misting of the Finisher. Thanks for these tips, I might buy that machine as I really want to avoid purchasing commercial extractors or having that dirty of interior jobs (LOL).
The foam also helps prevent over soaking of the product (it helps keep it closer to the surface of the fabric). I'm personally a fan of foam. I don't see why anyone would disagree
Great info! I'll need to try the P&S cleaner next when I run out of my current cleaner. I have the same extractor and do the same steps to keep it clean.
You are exceptionally professional, great video, thank you, i bought this machine, can i use as a vacuum cleaner, before add water to the machine, please reply, well appreciated, thank you.
I put product in my tank and use a sprayer with just water for rinsing. But I’m only using it for small spots from my puppy. It’s being used daily so I keep it loaded at all times for now. I’m using distilled water hoping it will help with corrosion.
That hose looks a lot more flexible than the one on the used machine that I bought, the one on mine seems much more rigid. I'm toying with the idea of replacing it as its stained inside too.
I highly recommend Bridgepoint Bio Break. Nothing else comes close to the complete cleaning power. No stain has ever resisted it (in my experiences). It’s not cheap, but it’s fairly dilutable at 1 ounce per gallon. If you’re serious about cleaning upholstery that needs to be, Bio Break should be the first thing you grab. I can’t say I’d recommend these “entry” level machines, though. I’d save up until you can get a mid-level or straight pro machine. In this scenario, you really do get what you pay for. Bridgeport Bio Break. Get it, you won’t regret it. I would never recommend anything so aggressively if I didn’t believe in it 100%. Auto detailing supply manufacturers make half-decent upholstery cleaning chemicals, but therein lies the problem … half-decent means they will fail to completely clean upholstery at some point. P&S makes the best upholstery cleaning kits that I have used … but they just don’t compare to pro-grade cleaners like Bio Break. 😊😊😊
Great video, quick question do you think the spotlcean PRO is worth the extra buck? Because i just do detailing for a hobby like my car, my moms car and gf car and i really like the spotclean PRO but here in MX its about $4,000.00 and the Bissell Spotclean Proheat is $3,000, i mean $1,000 pesos isnt A LOT but if i can save money i dont mind but if you strongly recommend the pro then ill like to know
Sorry if you have answered this but on the bissell spot clean pet pro, how do you get the samd out of the hose head? It does not seem to be removable (or I'm too scared) And suggestions?
Thanks for this useful tips! So if I would use the cleaner chemical externaly, can I also use that ones that come with the device from Bissel to mix it in a spraybottle? Also as I understand from the pictures in the manual, normally I dont have to push the spray button all the time if I suck the dirt from my couch? First spray ONLY water on the surface and THEN suck separatly without spray function? Thx for any help!
I don’t know how good of quality the Bissell formula is. You should spray and extract independently. Spray the right amount of water to get good movement of dirt and grime from the fabric. Too much water will over soak the fabric and not enough will not allow the process to work effectively. After you have removed all dirt and soap continue to extract with no spray until as much of the water is removed from the fabric as possible. Hope that helps.
Watch my semi permanent tire coating video. It’s a great product that has great durability. It’s a little on the shiny side but wears into a nice matte finish. Worth a look. Thanks for watching
I had a rig doctor that worked amazingly on any stain. It died after ten years so I bought this one and it just doesn’t get rid of stains like the other did. I’m out of return window - I know how to use these machines but just always seem to leave wicking and doesn’t even remove the stain. Everyone raves about this machine but I just don’t get it. What can I be doing wrong?
Great info 👍 question I got the spot cleaner auto (the smaller model) if suction is lost is there an area I should check and clean on the smaller model?
I've used the Bissell Spotclean Pro couple times now to clean a sofa and chair - it works pretty good, however it does not appear to extract much of liquid from the furniture. If I use a full tank of cleaner it may pull out less than half a tank of dirty water. Should I be worried or maybe I'm not doing something correctly? I keep going over the surfaces until it is not pulling anything out.
It may be wicking into the foam? I would say use the drill brush with cleaner and agitate until dirt is loose. Use minimum water to remove cleaner. Sorry that’s all I can suggest.
What do you do when you are getting a lot of foam in the Bissell? My drill brush tends to make a good amount of it and it takes forever to come clean. Using C Guys Stain Remover on the seats.
I do not use that product but I would say use less product and keep extracting. You want to get all the cleaner out wether it’s in foam form or non foaming. Foam is a good indicator of how much of the product is still in the fabric.
just bought one! should i dry out the hose somehow? how do i get the gunk stuck in the clear window that wont come out after cleaning? i tried the clear bucket suction but it just sticks in the sides and window of the head. thanks!
Nice video, but on that dilution ratio would it be 5.83 oz of product and rest water? So to round it wouldn’t it be 6 instead of 7? The way I thought it was you take 5:1 add the 1 and gives you 6 and then you divide 35oz
Yes. In most cases diluting products do not require that level of accuracy although accuracy is not a bad thing. I recommend just keep it simple and when in doubt round down. Too much chemical is not a good thing as well as not enough won’t do the job without excessive agitation. Go up or down with the dilution according to the dirt level. Thanks for watching
Anybody know why the machine would loose suction? I get suction where the red filter is, but not suction through the nozzle/end of the hose… any help is appreciated, thanks!!
Hello sir, i am visiting Hawaii at the moment and i am having hard time to find the chemicals that i would like to take back to my home country, do you have any suggestions of a shop with the most variaty of detailing products?
You say about not putting the cleaning product into the tank, only hot water which does make good sense. But I’m pretty sure Bissell have the marks on the tank for water and then another mark to fill up to with solution? So technically it’s safe to do it the way they say but basically what you’re saying is you think not putting the product in, is a superior way?
In order to remove 100% of the cleaning chemical from the fabric you have to use straight water. If you are trying to remove chemical from the fabric with a chemical water mix you will never get the chemical completely out. Chemical left behind from extracting can attract dirt and stains and is generally a bad practice. Bissell tries to promote the simplest way for the masses but definitely not the best way. Have a look here for more info on how pro detailers do it. www.hawaiidetailing.com/extractor
Great tip on only using clean water in the tank... Makes perfect sense and something I would have never thought of.

I put product in my tank and use a sprayer with just water for rinsing. But I’m only using it for small spots from my puppy. It’s being used daily so I keep it loaded at all times for now. I’m using distilled water hoping it will help with corrosion.
Thanks for sharing!!
Honestly all 5hose things are commen sense but thanks for the video
It wasn't common sense for me. I am a total beginner and I really needed the knowledge :)
Great vid!
Thanks
Great tips! Thank you.
Thanks
Enjoy the vids man :) Just subd. Gday from Melbourne Australia
Thanks mate.
That hose looks a lot more flexible than the one on the used machine that I bought, the one on mine seems much more rigid. I'm toying with the idea of replacing it as its stained inside too.
Here is a replacement amzn.to/420ZVjj
Bissel gang 4 life
Yeahhh
What product do you recommend for the cleaning of a couch? (In the bissel)
😊😊😊
Thanks skull. I appreciate you sharing the tips.
Great tips! Thank you
Can it be used with washing powder or other washing chemicals? (e.g Vanish Carpet Clener)
I don’t see why not but I have not tested that combo.
Ty so much, this video is awesome
Thanks for watching
I see you have this model on your amazon store and the Little Green Pro. They look the same except for the colors. Is there a difference between them?
Of having this vacuum for like three years I’ve never knew the storage container opened like that
Thanks for this useful tips!
Nice video, ever considered the Optima steamer? Lil larger foot print.
Never has seen it. Thanks for the suggestion
Awesome video.Did you use the ik foamer or the ik multipro in the video
I mainly use the multi version. It still makes foam but on upholstery I don’t need it as foamy as other applications. Thanks for watching
Can you please tell me witch tire dressing last the longest. I like my tires just like you do. Thank you very much
Watch my semi permanent tire coating video.
Great video Jeremy. Thank you for the information on this extractor. Hey are you selling the shirt you are wearing? I noticed it's your logo.
Yeah. I am trying to sort out selling a few. I will let you know when I do. Thanks for watching
You're very welcome.. thank you for replying back to me
Great info 👍 question I got the spot cleaner auto (the smaller model) if suction is lost is there an area I should check and clean on the smaller model?
The larger model has a filter. Check around for one.
Great video! Keep ‘em comin! When you use the carpet bomber, do find it better to user the regular ik sprayer or the ik foamer?
Either one works well. I like the regular sprayer for most uses and that’s what I use on interiors.
@@HawaiiDetailing thanks!
Love the show BTW
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it
I am a mobile detailer. I've never used one of these. Just bought one. What should I do if I don't have access to warm water?
Hot water is great but it will work pretty well without it. Be sure to use proper chemicals to help. Check here www.hawaiidetailing.com/extractor
I would say use the drill brush with cleaner and agitate until
dirt is loose. Use minimum water to remove cleaner. Sorry that’s all I can suggest.
Would you recommend the Bissell Superclean ProHeat? Same thing, but it has the capacity of heating the watering.
Have not used it.
@@HawaiiDetailing Thanks for the reply. Love your channel. Great videos and tips for the DIY guy like myself.
just bought one! should i dry out the hose somehow? how do i get the gunk stuck in the clear window that wont come out after cleaning? i tried the clear bucket suction but it just sticks in the sides and window of the head. thanks!
Let it air dry after use. Not sure about how to clean the dirt in the clear head. If you sort that out let me know. Thanks for watching
Is there one for conect to car battery power
Nice video 👍
Thanks.
What’s your opinion on this one vs the little green hydro?
I have never used that model??
Hello sir, i am visiting Hawaii at the moment and i am having hard time to find the chemicals that i would like to take back to my home country, do you have any suggestions of a shop with the most variaty of detailing products?
Hawaii does not have stores with a great chemical selection. Nothing like the stores on the mainland. Thanks for watching
I looked in your product line, but is there a place I can find the measuring cup for 10 to one eight to one’s
I just use this www.hawaiidetailing.com/dillution
