The bittersweet and melancholic mythic reminds me of the feeling I get when I see the person I love most in this life. There's the sweet and tender joy of being around them, but heavily joined by the heart breaking undertone of regret and pain. The reminder of how I lost her, and how I miss her, and the crippling regret of everything I should have said or done, and how I have to face her every day not knowing if I ever stood a chance. The contrast between octaves and rhythms in perfect balance also brings to mind the devastating sight of seeing her with one of my closest friends, but then realizing that she's so much more happy with him than she ever could have been with me and that he's a good man, they deserve each other. Wonderfully written song man, thank you for giving a theme song to the void in my soul where love and joy once roamed freely.

I couldn't have found a better song with such a convenient tutorial to learn for when I finally meet my best friend again after all this pandemic stuff is over. For her sake and mine I've avoided going to her house even if she's just at a walking distance. I got her into classical music and such, and I want to play this to her as a sign of our friendship, and feelings we both know are there but we leave unsaid.
