WEATHERFORD is awesome! I’ve been here for two years. We moved from California and it’s the best thing we ever did. I just love the people of WEATHERFORD very friendly and it’s the cutest little town.
Came back from California 23 years ago and after attending freshman and sophomore year of high school (‘77 ‘78) here in Weatherford. That Walmart on S. Main St. was there, then, when “cruising” S. Main St was the only thing to do. Hudson Oaks was becoming a thing in 2001 when I came back. They got a Walmart and a H-E-B!!
Live here. And enjoy it. One of the best things, not mentioned by you, are the PEOPLE. We believe in Texas, Guns, Freedom and most importantly of all GOD. ❤

I love Weatherford! I'm on the border of Weatherford and Mineral Wells, but between the two, it's a great area to live in. Lots of events. Lots of people show up for them, and there's a great family feel here. The restaurant options are getting better. :) It's not far to get to Fort Worth, so if you're feeling like a bigger city vibe, go there when you need to. You can pretty much find anything you need in Weatherford. It doesn't lack anything, that I've experienced. It's a perfect balance, in my opinion. You can have a quiet home life and it's not far away if you wanna get a little crazy. Weatherford is a very patriotic, God loving town and I would choose it again and again.

I am Westlake Village Ca and we won`t even allow a Walmart to be built because our stores like Ralph`s Von`s Kroger have strong unions that work to keep the anti labor stores out and here in this town (Weatherford) getting a Walmart is seen as somehow making it . They have a Walmart in Oxnard where the crops are grown and the labor is all under paid when you consider how hard they work.For some reason Walmarts always seem to have police cars parked in front while they are working a shoplifting case. I like the cutting horse thing I used to be in the Malibu riding club when I was young.
California. You should go back. Californians making Weatherford an even bigger shit hole than it already was.
If you love dealing with arrogant, rude, entitled people, this is the place for you! I've been here for 18 years, and I can't WAIT to get the heck out of here. It wasn't always like that, but now that all the city people have moved in, trying to create their own city in the country, it's just an overcrowded, traffic-filled pile of garbage.
I'm sure there will be plenty of uppity "Weatherford fabulous" people on here to tell me how wrong I am, but keep in mind that you're just proving my point.
I moved out of that shithole over a decade ago. Then decided to move back. It’s an even bigger shithole than it was back In the nineties. Just with more neckbeards and weird Californians.
